Clarke doesn't want to kill echo lmao. Bellamy is her found family not a love interest. I think that forcing your own people to fight to the death is so much worse than launching a pre-emptive attack on people that had been attacking your and yours since you landed on Earth. Pike was so more much reasonable than Octavia. Survival of the human race is overrated in this show, they always think that they're the only ones, but even when convinced that they are, still doing war crimes and mass murders. The thing is that Octavia took a page out of Clarke and early Arks leaders book of making sure the majority survives, if Octavia didn't make all sorts of criminals fight which would eventually reduce population so that the majority of them could survive then they all would have died and to Octavia she didn't know if there was any of human life elsewhere, she had no way of knowing in Bellamy and everyone else who went up to space survived so she needed to make sure people in the bunker survived in case they were the only human life on earth left. I don't think that Clarke looked jealous exactly, if you pause on that frame she just seems kinda surprised, which makes sense since Echo had been their enemy. Octavia on the other hand looked downright murderous.
