Chloe's All-Time Low!

Warning: Spoilers
The good news is that it's pretty much all uphill for Chloe from this point on. She was easily the most annoying character through the first three seasons of Smallville, and from Season 4 onward, she quickly becomes one of the most endearing and easily Clark's most trusted friend and ally.

In many ways, Chloe is the most evolved character by the end of the series.

In this episode, Chloe gains that most valuable tool for a reporter: compelling anyone to tell her the truth. Well, everyone except Clark. She quickly uses her newfound ability to expose a teacher, get the truth from Lana, painfully hear Lex's only true desire, and try to find a way to expose Lionel's crimes.

Chloe's actions are despicable, especially given what she did to the teacher as well as her persistent attempts to try and get Clark to reveal his secret, despite endless promises to back off.

And, of course, once again, Clark is the only understanding character when it comes to forgiveness and telling Chloe that she simply wasn't herself. The real truth is that Chloe was, indeed, herself. She simply took it her need to uncover the truth as far as she could. She certainly wasn't going to stop and not question the Kents.

But these early stages of "annoying" Chloe sets things up beautifully for Season 4 and into Season 5 when she finds out Clark's secret and why she was ultimately the best person for Clark in this regard.

Of course, we have another episode that showcases an abuse of power and why Clark is one of those rare people who doesn't (unless he's on Red K, that is). Overall, this is a fun episode and one of Season 3's better ones.
