Chloe Proves Herself!

Warning: Spoilers
This is one of my favorite episodes of this season. When it first aired, I was thrilled that Chloe had the opportunity to prove her loyalty and friendship to Clark, even if Clark didn't realize that at the end of the episode.

Clark has his memories erased while trying to stop a thief. Kevin has the ability to wipe the last few minutes of a person's memories, but he ends up inadvertently wiping out all of Clark's.

The fun starts here when Chloe attempts to help Clark. Of course, she knows about "some" of his abilities, but not all of them. She's encouraging, supportive, and hilarious when she finds out his X-ray, heat vision, and hearing abilities (especially the heat vision!). However, she doesn't warn Clark about green meteor rocks (which she found out about in "Spirit"). Perhaps she didn't know the extent of why they affect him.

It won't be until the start of Season 5 when Chloe finally reveals to Clark that she's known about his abilities for a short time now, and she sweetly tells him at the end of this episode, that he made all of the same choices as before except one: that Clark trusted her.

Of course, this sets up, yet, another round on the merry-go-round with Lana. The only thing the viewer had to try and figure out was when it would stop, yet again. That relationship went more rounds than Rocky had with Drago. And despite Clark promising that things would be different, it doesn't take much to found out that everything was the same ol' ride again.

The strength of his episode rests with Chloe and how she proves why she's Clark's best and truest friend and ally. Chloe has come a long way since the first three seasons, and she proves why she ends up being one of the most beloved characters of the show.
