5/10
It's a familiar story but with a different setting.

Warning: Spoilers
There have been many stories about people vanishing and those searching for them being told that they were never there. I didn't find this at all similar to Hitchcock's 1938 classic outside of the fact that an old woman (Mary Forbes) disappears from her hotel and no one recalls seeing her when daughter Patricia Hitchcock returns after trying to find her medical help.

This is also set many years before that film was, and certainly isn't as well developed character wise. Young Ms. Hitchcock isn't a great actress, but her role doesn't require a Bette Davis or Joanne Woodward. This is another one of those episodes that should have waited until the series had expanded to an hour. Otherwise, it seems rushed and not entirely believable, And outside of daddy Hitchcock's narration at the beginning an end rather humorless.
