The deals have been divided into days, with the first deals going live today
If you’ve got kids, or even adults who are young at heart, there is no better gift than Lego.
From Star Wars to DC Comics, Marvel and even Frozen, there’s likely to be a set to suit anyones tastes and hobbies, and for five days, starting today, many of these sets are available directly from Lego with at least 20% off in what is being called Lego's Brick Friday and Cyber Monday event.
The deals have been divided into days, with the first deals going live today. As a result, the 20% won’t show on the Rrp until the day that particular deal goes live - and the deals run for that day only where listed. Some sets will then be available for the full five days, and others will have more than 20% off.

Think Christmas TV has always been warm and fluffy? Think again, as we revisit some disturbing vintage festive specials...
The festive season holds long-held ties to the macabre. From the classic novels of Charles Dickens to the melancholy of the Christmas carol canon, Christmas has always harboured a darker side, lurking beyond the tinsel and mince pies. That role has extended to festive television: for every smiles-and-silliness sitcom special, there’s a programme with an altogether more disturbing spin on the season – be that a dramatic Christmas episode imbued with fear and bloodshed, or a family classic whose ostensibly wholesome charms look questionable in retrospect.

Located at Epcot in the Norwegian pavilion, the attraction takes visitors on a boat tour through the Arendelle kingdom, where Queen Elsa is using her magic powers to create a "winter in summer" day for her people. You'll also get to check out Troll Valley and Elsa's Ice Palace before meeting to royal sisters themselves in...

Elton John spoke out against homophobia in Russia during a concert in St. Petersburg. The singer told an audience at the city's Ice Palace venue that "if we start punishing people for [being gay], the world will lose its humanity." Speaking from the stage, John criticized the dismantling in St. Petersburg last week of an interactive memorial to Apple founder Steve Jobs, which was taken down after the company's current chief Tim Cook, came out as gay. Hold onto your clogs because for the first time in forever, a Frozen ride is coming to Disney World!
After months of speculations and wishes among fans, Disney Parks confirmed Friday that a new attraction based on the hit animated film will replace the Maelstrom ride, in the Norway section of Epcot’s World Showcase. Construction is beginning now, and though no exact timeline has been given, you can bet it will take longer than building a snowman.
The ride will likely keep the basic structure of the Maelstrom, which opened in the summer of 1988 and takes guests on small...

NBC’s primetime Tuesday coverage of the Olympics was filled with chilly thrilling spills, as crazy weather bedeviled crazier sports. The women competing in the Alpine Giant Slalom faced rough terrain, while the men competing in Snowboard Cross faced rough terrain and the fact that Snowboard Cross is basically a demolition derby without any safety protocols. Summer Olympians Lolo Jones and Lauryn Williams crossed over into a whole new weather pattern, competing in the Women’s Bobsled (or “Bobsleigh,” as they call it in Westeros.)

Alfonso Cuaron was honored with the Visionary Award last night at the 12th annual Ves Awards, recognizing the best in visual special-effects — so it was no surprise that Gravity was also the ceremony’s big winner. Cuaron’s riveting outer-space thriller, starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, won six awards in total, including the top prize for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture.
Frozen won four awards, including Outstanding Animation in an Animated Feature Motion Picture; Game of Thrones had three wins as well.

Today was a busy day for some of the smaller guilds with the Visual Effects Society, the Cinema Audio Society, and the Makeup and Hairstylists Guilds all announcing their nominations for 2013.
First, we have the Ves, whose main category to look at is “Outstanding Visual Effects in a Visual Effects-Driven Feature Motion Picture,” where we find Gravity and four other nominees that are just going to have to be happy with the fact that they got nominated. This is perhaps the easiest category to call in the entirety of awards season, and I don’t mean just here, but for the Oscar as well (Last year’s winner, Life of Pi, easily took this category before going on to claim the Oscar). It’s true that films like The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and Star Trek Into Darkness had outstanding effects as well, but nothing even came close to the amazing,...

George Takei, best known for his portrayal of Mr. Sulu in the acclaimed television and film series Star Trek, has more than 40 feature films and hundreds of television guest-starring roles to his credit. Takei began his career in Hollywood in the late 1950s, at a time when Asian faces were rarely seen on television and movie screens. His first role was providing voiceover for several characters in the English dub of Japanese monster films such as Godzilla Raids Again and Rodan, followed by an appearance in the Emmy award winning television series Playhouse 90. Takei subsequently appeared alongside such actors as Richard Burton in Ice Palace, Jeffrey Hunter in Hell to Eternity, Alec Guinness in A Majority of One, James Caan in Red Line 7000 and Cary Grant in Walk Don’t Run. He played Captain Nim, an Arvn Lldb officer alongside John Wayne’s character in the 1968 Vietnam War era film,...
