Koos has framed Miep's portrait (painted by Wiep) and even Neighbor Buys is invited to come take a look at it. Lydie becomes concerned when her mother doesn't answer the phone.
Jopie & Annie surprise Koos & Mien with a weekend away. As Mien had just made a large pot of soup for the entire weekend, she gives it to Lydie and Hans. But they are also going away so the pot keeps changing hands...
Hans purposely breaks an ugly vase that Mien and Koos brought back from Athens. But when Lydie pretends to be heartbroken in front of Mien, Koos has to glue the pieces back together again.
Wieps birthday is approaching fast and both Lydie & Hans and Dr. John buy her an etching press without the other party's knowledge. However, the transport service is only able to deliver one at a time.
Koos sits down to write his first ever cover letter when he learns there's a job opening in a warehouse. Hans & Lydie go shopping armed with long lists from several different people.

Buys talks Koos into doing community service on a Greenpeace ship. Koos as carpenter and Buys as Russian translator. Lydie has moved a diner date, meaning Hans has to give up his golf lesson.
Hans goes jogging with Wiep & John and disappears. He claims to have helped a woman in distress but no one believes him. Jopie doesn't want to spend too much money on his wedding.
When John tries to pick up a video tape at his old address, he finds a Chinese lady living there who doesn't speak a word of Dutch. Mien thinks of a way to retrieve the tape for the young doctor.
Jopie & Annie argue over a new couch while having diner at Koos & Mien's. Hans is ill and wants to be examined at the hospital but all the other doctors in the house tell him to simply stay in bed for a day.
Mien is helping Lydie clean out her attic where they find some classic Kapitein Rob comics and original Dinkey Toy cars. Koos bumps into Martin from Greenpeace and gets a job fixing up their new flagship.
Wiep & John have an argument because she wants to go to Berlin and he to Paris. John asks Mien's advice and she proposes that he surprises Wiep in Paris. Meanwhile Wiep confides in Hans who tells her to surprise John in Berlin.
Koos insists on trying to fix an old record player, so Mien decides to buy a CD-player for St. Nicholas. But when she stores it in Lydie's closet, Hans finds it and assumes it's for him.
Lydie is planning a surprise diner with Hans to celebrate their first date 12.5 years earlier. She wants to wear the exact same dress but when Koos gets it dirty, Mien goes out of her way to make a replica.
Mien wants to invite neighbor Buys for Christmas dinner. Oma has lost an envelop full of money and Hans decides to help her out by place another one carrying the same amount somewhere where she will easily find it.
Wiep has finished two paintings in an exhibition about the AMC and decides that John should be Master of Ceremonies at the opening. He asks Buurman Buys to write a speech for him.
