It’s a deceptively big month on Prime Video in September! To kick things off, The Wheel of Time will be back for a second season on the service, while a live-action The Boys spinoff series called Gen V will be capping off the original series content later in the month.
But there are also some interesting new projects lined up between those two biggies. On September 15, Jenna Coleman and Oliver Jackson-Cohen star in what is sure to be a delicious tale of revenge. Wilderness, based on B.E. Jones’ novel of the same name, stars Coleman as a heartbroken wife who discovers her husband has been cheating on her after she gives up her whole life to move over to America with him and support his career.
You should also keep an eye out for Cassandro, landing on Prime Video on the same day. The film, which has been...

Jamaican singer Protoje has dropped his new single “Like Royalty,” a collaboration with Popcaan that features on the Grammy-nominated reggae star’s upcoming album In Search of Lost Time.
“This song is one of the realest pieces of music I’ve ever written,” Protoje told Rolling Stone of the track, which was inspired by his experience at Music’s Biggest Night in 2018. “I got to bring my friend and my family to the Grammys. They were the ones who really took care of me when I came to Kingston, trying...

Reggae star Protoje has teamed with Agent Sasco and Lila Iké to tackle the turmoil that often disrupts everyday life in the video for their new song, “Not Another Word.”
The track address the way a variety of issues, from everyday violence to the effects of climate change, often go ignored, leading to more struggles down the road. The clip deftly captures this notion, alternating between shots of Protoje, Agent Sasco and Iké driving around Kingston in a truck outfitted with massive speakers, and birds-eye view shots of fights and shootings.

The influence of Jamaican pop can be felt everywhere today, from Drake’s “Controlla” to Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” – but Jamaican practitioners of the form have had a hard time breaking through on the U.S. charts in recent years. Enter Protoje, who’s emerged as a leader of the modern reggae revival movement.
“It’s not some resort music that people drink piña coladas to,” scoffs the Jamaican singer. “I don’t want to be pigeonholed. Reggae and hip-hop have a close background together, and I like to dance in between those.

The Film of Memory is a much better title than "A Matter of Time", isn't it? Especially with those prissy quotation marks. The former is the title of the novel by Maurice Druon which became the latter, Vincente Minnelli's last film.
Samuel Z. Arkoff's American International Pictures is a long way down from the Freed Unit at MGM, and however you cut it, this is a movie you have to make allowances for. A film out of time, a film about nostalgia which is itself a product of that impulse: set in a supremely unconvincing 1949 (location shots of 70s Rome feature copious non-period extras and automobiles), its heroine harkens back to a pre-wwi, prelapsarian paradise, while Minnelli himself is harking back to, well, 1949 or thereabouts, the period of his cinematic heyday.
