Sex & Nudity

  • Characters occasionally talk around the subjest of sex with loaded comments. Extramarital affairs often pop up in investigations. Female characters sometimes dress in skimpy clothing. There's occasional kissing and some light fondding (rubbing thighs or back, for instance).

Violence & Gore

  • The episode "Snow White, Blood Red" is considered by many fans to be the most gruesome.
  • There are lots of verbal threats and some fistfights and scuffles here and there, which lead to bruises and bloody lips. Most episodes revolve around a death and often the act of murder is shown as well as a few shots of a dead body.

Profanity

  • B*tch or SOB is also used in later seasons, but it's rare.
  • "Damn" and 'Hell" are used infrequently.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • Adults often drink wine or beer in social settings.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • This show is presented as a cozy mystery, so the murders arn't typically that disturbing.
