From Justice League Dark and The Batman to Lobo and Man Of Steel 2 - the DC movies that await a greenlight...
Big spoilers lie ahead for Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice
Whichever side of the imaginary rivalry you fall into, there's no denying that when it comes to movies, DC has got some catching up to do. In the same year as Marvel Studios released their first major crossover, The Avengers, Warner Bros released The Dark Knight Rises, the final chapter in Christopher Nolan's acclaimed Batman trilogy, which was firmly grounded in the notion that Bruce Wayne is the world's only superhero.
Nolan's disinterest in the larger DC toybox left Warners a few steps behind Disney and Marvel, especially after the failure of 2010's Jonah Hex and 2011's Green Lantern, the latter of which was intended as the first step into a wider universe.

Admit it -- somewhere along the way, a kids' movie gave you a grown-up fright, whether from the wolfish Gmork in "The Neverending Story" or a glammed-out David Bowie and his band of baby-stealing Muppets in "Labyrinth." That's because underneath a fuzzy layer of singalongs and talking animals, there's usually a layer of harsh reality. It's a sweet way for kids to learn not-so-sweet lessons, kind of like giving them bubble gum-flavored cough syrup.
But the rabbit hole goes deeper. Some of our biggest and brightest children's stories -- movies, that is -- actually tell tales that started out in the adult realm. And if you've ever had a job with a manager, had to learn what a tax write-off is, or one day found yourself reading the Nutrition Facts on your food , you know the adult realm is a very, very scary place. Here are the movies that go there,...

Today in 2002, the first Broadway revival of Into the Woods opened at the Broadhurst Theatre, where it ran for 279 performances. Into the Woods is a musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Lapine. It debuted in San Diego at the Old Globe Theatre in 1986, and premiered on Broadway in 1987. Into the Woods won several Tony Awards, including Best Score, Best Book, and Best Actress in a Musical Joanna Gleason, in a year dominated by The Phantom of the Opera. The main characters are taken from the stories of Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Cinderella, tied together by a more original story involving a baker and his wife and their quest to begin a family, most likely taken from the original story of Rapunzel by the Brothers Grimm.

With the live, musical stage production of Peter Pan airing on NBC on Thursday, and the recent release of the trailer for the upcoming adventure drama Pan – a re-imagined live-action version of J.M. Barrie's classic tale – it seems that America is once again experiencing full-blown Peter Pandemonium.
And why not? It's fun for the whole family, right? On the surface, Peter Pan is about a young boy leading his friends on the adventure of a lifetime. Like most children's stories, it's a cherished morality tale that teaches kids a lesson while keeping them entertained.
Video: 8 Disney Characters You Forgot Were Voiced by Famous Stars
And, like most beloved children's stories, the familiar tale of Peter Pan is based on a book full of horrible murder and deeply traumatizing acts of depravity. Seriously, children's stories are messed up. To show you what we mean, here are seven beloved (Disney-adapted) tales of fun and adventure that are based...
