The fight between good and Evil.

Warning: Spoilers
Okay I'm a little bugged by Ikilledsupaman's review. Gosei Sentai Dairanger is very entertaining and isn't as disgusting as the abomination called "Power Rangers".Gosei Sentai Dairanger has several reasons which makes it better than Power Rangers it goes as fallows: the villains in this series are at least two-dimensional and some are three-dimensional, you have a perverted 9 yr. old( something Power rangers would never touch) you have love stories and the fight scenes a lot better. I'll do a review later(a unbiased review, being the fact appalled Ikilledsupaman's comparison between Gosei Sentai Dairanger and the crap called Power Rangers)On last note I assume Ikilledsupaman only speaks English, or that he or she didn't give the show a chance (something Power Rangers doesn't deserve)Kyouryuu Sentai ZyuRanger is good show, but Choujin Sentai Jetman is tons better.

Seriously terrifying. Great sentai.

My gosh Japanese kids must be tough. Kids getting eaten, decapitated, tortured, kidnapped, brainwashed and that's by episode 2. If you can handle the constant stream of nightmare fuel it's a great sentai with an old school feel. The costumes and zord are nice too.

*** this series has really cool looking foot soldiers. The foot soldiers really don't get enough credit for how much they affect a sentai season.

overwhelmingly exciting

That guy doesn't know what he's talking about. I've seen every episode of this show (and Zyuranger) at least twice and I can tell you that it was anything but boring. Nearly every episode was totally awesome. Dairanger was a great step up from Zyuranger because it didn't look as cheap, had a less generic story (some of it was very complex and just fascinating), wasn't as light-hearted and childish, had 5 times the action in every episode, better and more colorful costumes and excellent music. Dairanger kind of has a retro feel to it in some of the designs and characters and the music totally takes that to the next level as well as the intensity of some of the scenes. What makes Dairanger so great though are the characters. There were tons of them and they were all great. All of the rangers had completely different personalities and it seemed like every episode there would be a new person coming into the fold (who were in a number of episodes afterward) that would somehow get involved with one of them and complicate things for both the Dairanger and the Gorma and they were always as interesting, if not more so then the main characters themselves. With Daigo there was Kujaku (her outfit was stunning), Ryou had Gene and Shouji had those three weird, not totally good, but not totally bad guys that he was always competing with and that's just the tip of the iceberg. This show had a really good mix of humor and seriousness as well. I could write about 1000 pages on why this show was so awesome, but the bottom line is: Dairanger totally puts Zyuranger and MMPR Season 2 to shame (no question) and is without a doubt one of the most interesting and exciting shows I have ever seen. I'm not exaggerating one bit. If you have the chance to watch a few episodes you will not be disappointed.

My favorite

I would have to agree. Dairanger was in my opinion, THE best Sentai series of the 90s if not of all time. It had the best costume designs, best plot, best characters, best action, best everything. And the soundtrack is amazing. I still listen to it to this day. Even though the actors in any Sentai series are suppose to overact for the sake of the child audience, I can be comfortable watching Dairanger and I'm a grown adult. The genre is not too childish nor too mature. I think they nailed it on the dot. The storyline is amazing and almost every episode has a twist to the plot. There are only a handful of episodes in the entire series with a generic MOTD (monster of the day). The character development for each of the rangers was well done. From the beginning episode, you learn about each character's style, personality, dreams and aspirations. What I really liked about Dairanger was how each of the characters had their own lives outside of saving the world. Like Ryo, the red ranger, worked hard everyday at a restaurant to be the best gyoza chef in Japan on top of everything else. Also, the side characters and villains were in my opinion, even more interesting than the main characters. Like Jin, the gentleman assassin. Each ranger had their own quarrels with somebody throughout the whole series which is what made it great. Honestly, Sentai is just not the same as it used to be. It was only a few years after Dairanger that I began to lose interest in Sentai. Dairanger was one of the greats of the old Sentai era. Dairanger just has so much more to offer than any of the other Sentai. I almost want to spoil the storyline for you since I liked it so much, but I won't since I'm nice. If you haven't seen it, go watch it. You will not be disappointed.
