Violence & Gore

  • A child is grabbed and locked in a room. The child grabs a chair and breaks through a window as he gets out.
  • A kid almost falls off a tall treehouse when he slips on a plank and we see his friend grabbing him asking him if he let him go if he could fly.
  • A boy gets angry at his little sister entering his room and then starts pinching her face. Another kid in his room then shoves him into a wall but gets interrupted by the mother.
  • A woman dies in a hospital bed right by a kid's side
  • Two boys throw rocks at a factory window alerting another man as they flee.
  • A kid shoots a nail next to a tree scaring a cat then a dog with a makeshift crossbow nail gun, killing it (unseen, but heard whining in pain). The kid lies about him trying to just scare it and carries the dog's sacked corpse onto a well.
  • An evil kid drops a dummy named "Mr highway" from a bridge into a highway of traffic, causing a huge crash and multiple accidents. Lots of cars are seen crashing and his friends looked at the chaos horrified.
  • A kid is shown deliberately pushing his sister onto thin ice at a skating rink. She falls through and then he attempts to drown her. Although, she is saved by people using an axe to break the ice and rescue her to treatment
  • A boy tries to stab another. He is then grabbed and restrained.
  • A woman slaps a child in disbelief and then hugging him.

Profanity

  • The f-word is used once by Henry telling Mark "Don't fuck with me". A few uses of milder terms and a couple s words.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A boy is seen smoking (then passing the cigarette on). Casual drinking is seen

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Macaulay Culkin's character has a role to play the evil disturbed child who does evil things such as causing trouble and chaos, even attempting to kill his family members and manipulation.
  • While the movie is frightening at times, it's also very tame compared to todays standards.
  • The fact that a kid commits violent acts is very disturbing.
  • When we hear a child has been murdered and a boy confesses to it.

Violence & Gore

  • In the finale, Henry pushes his mother off the cliff. She hangs on from below. Mark and Henry fight. When Susan climbs back up, the two boys fall and she grabs onto both with her struggling hands. Realising what her son has been doing the whole time, she lets go of Henry and he falls to his death. She chooses Mark. His body can be seen lying on the rock as the water splashes him away.
  • A boy pushes his mom off the cliff and she scrapes her legs and arms against the rock. She tries to climb back up. Another kid tackles the boy and they wrestle on the edge before they both fall off but the mother catches them. One of the boys is killed when he falls off a cliff after the mother grabs two children cannot support the weight of two of them; we see his inert, broken body from a distance.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Susan questions her son Henry as to whether or not he killed Richard (baby son).
  • A boy's sister is sent to hospital due to drowning in icy water. She survives.
