Marilu Henner and Derek Hough exited Dancing With the Stars with their heads held high. The couple was eliminated on showstoppers night with a showstopper of their own. Derek and Marilu danced the samba to "December, 1963 (Oh, What a Night)" from the musical Jersey Boys and received nines from judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Idina Menzel, Julianne Hough and Bruno Tonioli. Their group dance with Terra Jole and Sasha Farber, a jazz routine to "Big Noise from Winnetka" by Bette Midler also received four nines. "We went out on a high," Derek gushed. "She did great tonight." "Super high! I always have gut feelings about things and I thought, 'I just want to do my last two dances as...

The end is near, friends. Dancing with the Stars is quickly heading towards its finale, and tonight the contestants were whittled down to the final five. While this is usually the point at which the season can go off in some crazy and incorrect direction, Marilu and Derek heading home was probably the correct result. Marilu has never been a bad dancer, but the tension between them has been occasionally uncomfortable, and all of the other stars are better than she is at this point, which is fine. This final five is going to be a tough race! Let's talk about the dances: Marilu Henner and Derek Hough: 36/40 An improvement, but this was one of those times when it...

Dancing with the Stars said goodbye to Marilu Henner on week 9’s Showstopper night.
At the top of the evening, Henner, 64, and pro partner Derek Hough kicked off Monday’s performances with a Samba — which included a special return appearance from former DWTS pro Mark Ballas!
Ballas, who is performing as Frankie Valli on Broadway’s Jersey Boys, lent his vocals and sang with three fellow cast mates during the pair’s live performance.
But despite earning rave reviews from the judges, including guest judge and Tony-winning actress Idina Menzel — she told Henner, “I’ve been inspired by her my...

In the spirit of Halloween, Dancing With the Stars‘ Oct. 31 outing offered up plenty of sweet treats — but plenty of grisly horrors, too.
For every tearjerking Viennese waltz — thanks for ruining my makeup, Laurie and Val — there was an Argentine tango full of awkward limbs and missed steps. Plus, Monday’s episode reintroduced the dreaded dance-offs, which might not exactly be fun for the contestants — but if it gives Gleb Savchenko an excuse to take his shirt off, I can’t say I’m mad about it.
Let’s break down the evening’s best and worst routines:

We’ve reached Week 7 of Dancing With the Stars‘ 23rd season, and you know what that means: It’s become very clear which contestants stand a chance at the Mirrorball… and which ones, well, don’t.
As the remaining couples performed iconic styles from different eras in history, a handful of duos proved exactly why they should be part of the finale in four weeks’ time. The others, unfortunately, struggled to make a convincing pitch for viewers’ precious votes.

Marilu Henner is heating up Latin Night for her Dancing With the Stars partner Derek Hough. The pair is doing the Cha Cha set to "Echa Pa'lante" by Thalia, but there may be a little problem or a saving grace, either way it comes down to Marilu's legs. "Marilu's greatest asset is kind of her downfall in a way with having these beautiful legs because if they're not in the right place then you really see them," Derek says in the exclusive preview clip above. Marilu wants to heat it up for Latin Night and understandably so. Last week, Most Memorable Year Night, the two danced to "Surprise Yourself" by Jack Garratt and received nines across the board. So close to that elusive perfect...

Sometimes change is a good thing and on Dancing with the Stars change can even be a great thing. In the Most Memorable Year week, Derek Hough's new strategy to help Marilu Henner succeeded. Rather than having Marilu learn all the dance moves in one go, Derek focused on a more fluid and minimal style and it worked.
Marilu received her highest scores of the season. She even ended up in second place on the leaderboard, coming in way ahead of the undisputed frontrunner Laurie Hernandez. This is an undeniable victory for Marilu and Derek, but there is still a long way to go. Derek should not being feeling too comfortable with Marilu's ability to dominate the Dancing with the Stars leaderboard just yet.

If you missed even a moment of Monday’s Dancing With the Stars, I have excellent news: ABC essentially replayed the entire thing on Tuesday night — and then added another full hour of footage.
It’s one thing for the competition series to stretch its performance shows to 120 minutes, when those are filled with actual content. But a two-hour results show, filled with video recaps and inane mini-concerts and endless footage of Bruno Tonioli shouting from behind the judges’ table — that’s just wrong.

Without Gary Busey to liven things up on "All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" this week, Trace Adkins stepped up. He threw an impressive hissy-fit while having to work under Marilu Henner on the week's challenge. As in, he was literally rolling around on the ground.

He was at least somewhat justified in his stance. It turns out chess isn't nearly as exciting as the star-studded party thrown by Lisa Rinna and Penn Jillette. Especially when the challenge was to throw a party. Literally.

But a major boardroom shocker saves Lady O for the fourth week in a row! Is she untouchable?

Filming commences today on All-Star Celebrity Apprentice as Donald Trump’s reality show brings back contestants from the first five celebrity seasons of the program. The cast is a curious one, missing some seemingly obvious choices like Annie Duke and Aubrey O’Day while including a few head-scratchers (Claudia Jordan? Does anyone even know who she is?). What’s also interesting is that no famous Celebrity Apprentice feuds — Omarosa versus Piers Morgan, Annie Duke versus Joan and Melissa Rivers, Lisa Lampanelli versus Dayana Mendoza — will be rekindled as none of the selected players have any past bad blood with anyone else.

Ray Richmond is contributing to Deadline's coverage of TCA. It was former Taxi star Marilu Henner's appearance on 60 Minutes in December 2010 that was key in finally bringing to fruition -- following a two-year gestation -- the new CBS procedural Unforgettable, showrunner Ed Redlich stressed during a noontime TCA panel. The new Tuesday 10 Pm drama premieres Sept. 20 and stars Poppy Montgomery as a former detective who carries a rare condition that allows her to remember literally everything she experiences. And it's inspired in part on the true-life story of Henner, who is one of perhaps a half-dozen known individuals who have both the gift and burden of what's termed "autobiographical memory." That had been the focus of the 60 Minutes piece some eight months ago. Henner is serving as a consultant on Unforgettable, permitting the cast and production team to get an up-close look at what the condition really entails. "When...

And would make a good stage-to-movie candidate actually...
Nyt the latest injury from the set of the Spider Man musical on Broadway. Wednesday matinee cancelled. I am 100% certain that someone will one day write a bestseller about the behind-the-scenes of this disaster prone production
Cinema Blend Peter Weir not interested in a sequel to Master & Commander. Awww. Maybe they should just adapt it for a stage musical instead. Kidding.

For the first half of tonight's The Apprentice: Celebrity Edition, Donald Trump held interviews and an extended boardroom in order to immediately fire two of the final four contestants. It seemed like an arbitrary way to go about the last two firings – it happened in one night, right after the previous firing of Stephen Baldwin. After that, the two finalists began preparing for their final task – a star-studded celebrity auction. We'll see the auction go down next week in the two hour Celebrity Apprentice finale.
The Celebrity Apprentice begins with the four finalists (Piers Morgan, Trace Adkins, Carol Alt, and Lennox Lewis) being brought right back into the boardroom. Trump tells the final four that before the night is over, two of them will be fired. It's going to be a long and brutal boardroom. Each of the final four will be interviewed by Erin Burnett and Jim Cramer – both NBC cable news personalities.
