Impossible to please Doortje's eternal whining gets support all round until Pol agrees to marriage counseling from dodgy Helga. Hearing Fernand is desperate (actually near suicide) in debt, Ronaldinho comes up with a goldmine idea: turn his antiques showroom into a party dance floor and hire nationally renowned DJ Regi, whom he can sign at mate's rate. Mayor Freddy Van Overloop is attending a 'conference' in a double room with secretary Agnes and illegally appoints Mark to act as ad interim. As the news spreads, Pascal urges him to pompously act the part, even as Maurice's gross boss, while team friends approach him for favors. Carmen however gets her 'honorary citizenship installation', organized by Bieke's stillborn event agency, rather then aid for the club or for Boma's sausages firm.

As the team must play its final early on the wedding day, the rival club president offers them free entertainment, dancing girls bringing champagne. Fernand has won a fortune in the lottery, so he's planning to move to Hawaii and tempted to sell his 'antiques shop' to Mark and Bieke.

The day of double wedding has arrived, but for Pascale and Boma it begins bad: Boma suffers from nerves and Pascale (literally) has something on her hand. Whether there shall be married, is still questionable. First the Champions must, with a hefty hangover, play their match for the title, and also Neroke seems to sabotage the wedding with a not so healthy appetite. Fernand finds now the love of his life in the person of Bertha Boma, who has returned from Australia for the wedding of her brother. Whether it will become a happy ending for everyone remains to be seen, because the devil is in the tails ...
