Exclusive: Tuc Watkins (Desperate Housewives) is set for a season-long guest-star arc on Season 2 of Black Monday, Showtime’s 1980s Wall Street comedy starring and executive produced by Don Cheadle.
Written by David Caspe and Jordan Cahan, the series takes viewers back to October 19, 1987, aka Black Monday. No one knows who “caused it” — until now. It’s the fictional story of how a group of outsiders took on the blueblood, old-boys club of Wall Street and ended up crashing the world’s largest financial system, a Lamborghini limousine, and the glass ceiling. Andrew Rannells, Regina Hall and Paul Scheer also star.
Watkins will play Congressman Harris, a Republican and leader of the Moral Majority.
It’s a return to Showtime for Watkins, who played Malcolm Laffley on Beggars and Choosers. He also starred or recurred on such TV series as Desperate Housewives, Major Crimes, Awkward, Parks and Recreation, Sisters, C...

Disappeared along with 2 percent of the world’s population. Where did everybody go? And why? When we pick up the action three years after that fateful October 14, those mysteries remain unsolved. But at least this recap of the breathtakingly bleak HBO series’ debut may be able to answer a few questions for you…

Birthday shoutouts go to Sir Kenneth Branagh (above), who is 53, Bobby Flay is 49, Raven Symone is 28, Susan Dey is 61, and Gloria Loring is 67. In addition to siring Robin Thicke and singing The Facts of Life theme song, she also gave us one of the greatest duets of the 80′s, which peaked at #2 in 1986.

When Parks and Recreation introduced us to Ron’s ex, Tammy 2 (Megan Mullally), we were scared. Or so we thought. Now that the NBC hitcom’s season finale has suggested that we’re about to meet her predecessor, Tammy 1, we know the true meaning of fear. What we don’t know is who’s gonna play the queen of mean. A few suggestions:
Glenn Close | We can already hear the Fatal Attraction psycho snarling, “I’m not gonna be ignored, Ron!” Hence, my shuddering on this sweaty May day. And wouldn’t you agree, if she’s ever gonna get...

Lets face it, as television viewers we grow attached to the gay characters that resonate with us on the small screen, and with the actors that bring life to these roles. We also find ourselves growing fond of out-and-proud actors that have opted to play it straight thats why its called acting, people and vice versa.
So when their shows are cancelled or taken off the air before they wear out their welcome (whatever, I still miss Sex and the City on Sunday nights, ok?), it can be a little bit difficult to see them slide into other TV roles easier than Lindsay Lohan checking into another rehab (Im rootin for you, girl).
Alas, sometimes that isnt always the case, which might have you asking yourself, Where are they now? In some cases for these actors, it could be taken as a query of, Where did they disappear to?
But for curiosity's (and manner's) sake,...

Chicago – Working with high level actors such as Paul Giamatti and Dustin Hoffman didn’t faze director Richard J. Lewis. He had pursued the film version of the Mordecai Richler’s novel “Barney’s Version” for several years, and it was his direction that recently got Giamatti (as Barney) the Golden Globe Award.
Lewis is a veteran of television, serving as a producer on the seminal police drama “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation” from 2002 to 2009. Before that, he directed several shows, including “Due South,” Showtime’s “Beggars and Choosers” and most recently “The Defenders.” He scored a notable feature debut with “Whale Music” [1994] and even directed “K-9:Pi” [2002] starring Jim Belushi.

If you needed any more evidence that the cast of "Mad Men" is rather easy on the eyes, we submit to you the cover of the latest Rolling Stone magazine.
They may not be naked and covered in fake blood, but the stars of AMC's Emmy winner -- Jon Hamm is flanked by Elisabeth Moss, January Jones and Christina Hendricks -- look plenty hot nonetheless. As you can see, they're decked out in (more or less) period-appropriate clothing, and the women are showing more than a little bit of cleavage.
The magazine's timing is impeccable -- "Mad Men" just won its third consecutive Emmy for best drama series.
But while we haven't seen the full article yet (the issue hits newsstands Wednesday, Sept. 1), we're not entirely sure about the assertion -- from an excerpt of the story printed along with the cover shot -- that "nobody wanted" the cast before creator Matthew Weiner hired them.

It's no stretch to say that "Mad Men" has been a career-defining show for most of its core cast. But that doesn't mean the actors didn't have careers before that.
In honor of "Mad Men" beginning its fourth season on Sunday (July 25), we at Zap2it decided to dedicate our latest Z-wind to three of the stars of the series: Jon Hamm, Christina Hendricks and Elisabeth Moss.
Hamm had been a working actor for the better part of a decade before landing the role of Don Draper. He may have been best-known for his role in "Kissing Jessica Stein" (where he co-starred with his long-time girlfriend, Jennifer Westfeldt), but he also had a string of TV roles, including stints on "Providence" and "The Division" and guest spots on "Gilmore Girls" and "CSI: Miami."
He also did seven episodes of ABC's short-lived series "What About Brian," which brings us to our first clip.

HollywoodNews.com: There’s a reason why Tuc Watkins has had more than one job in recent years: the man has a whole lot of talent.
I’m a huge Tuc fan and have enjoyed him in his best-known role as David Vickers on One Life to Live for more than a decade as well as his run on Showtime’s Beggars and Choosers and current role on ABC’s Desperate Housewives.
Tuc has been able to repeatedly come and go from Oltl in order to do other projects over the years and the latest is the off-Broadway play White Lies. He has the title role of Joe White, a 40something womanizing bachelor who spins a web of lies to pretend to grant the dying wish of his mother to have grandchildren. The cast also includes the great Betty Buckley, Peter Scolari, Rena Strober, and Christy Carlson Romano.
