The hit starmaker director jodi of Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru are back with da’bang! The pair behind creating Salman Khan’s iconic style in many of his superhit songs are now readying to woo hearts once again with their upcoming musical love story Sanam Teri Kasam. The duo are currently riding high on the accolades pouring in for their song in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, as they hit a hat-trick with Salman Khan! The duo have earlier added the Dabangg touch to the super star’s cult image, creating the iconic visuals of the ‘hearts in glares’ in the chartbuster track ‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ in Dabangg and then created the same magic with ‘Dagabaaz Re’ in Dabangg 2. And now with Prdp their status is further cemented for creating visuals fit for the grandeur of the star and his film. And like the industry puts it...

2014 covered an expansive genre of music with a strong focus on complimenting the respective film’s tone and background rather than opting for safety of conventionalism. Read on to find out which albums. Read on as Bollyspice unveils the top 10 albums of 2014.
10. Kill Dil
The soundtrack of Kill Dil was a labour of love from Shaad Ali, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Gulzar. It is clearly apparent from the brilliant mix of tracks delivered. The orchestrations and melodies employed were some of the best ones from Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. The range of vocal artists ranged from the veterans like Sukwinder Singh to novices like Nihara Joshi making the album all the more enjoyable. Moreover, the expansive genre and brilliant renditions (Arjit Singh – ‘Sajde’, Sunidhi Chauhan and Siddharth Mahadevan...

For the music of the films of 2014, the composers brought in classic voices, new vocal sounds and vibes and even an actress or two to bring their songs to life. Usually we limit our list to the 5 Best Female Singers but this year we had to expand to 10 in order to highlight their fabulous performances.
10. Shraddha Kapoor
For the first time an actress makes it to our Best Female Singers countdown. Shraddha not only shined in two completely different roles in Ek Villain and Haider, the young actress also showed off her lovely voice with two completely different tunes. With ‘Galliyan’ from Ek Villain, she impressed with her melodious tones. In ‘Do Jahaan’ from Haider she sang a Kashmiri folk song, about which director and composer Vishal Bhardwaj said, “After listening to the song they (Kashmiris) would want to keep you with themselves.” Perhaps one day in the future she...

Dolly Ki Doli follows hot on the heels of the success of Khoobsurat. In light of Sonam Kapoor delivering one of her most charming performances to date in the Disney rom-com, it is hard not to have reasonable expectations from Dolly Ki Doli. Furthermore, it is an interesting venture from Arbaaz Khan Productions, whose prior releases were the testosterone-filled Dabangg franchise.
Dolly Ki Doli, directorial debut of Abhishek Dogra, also stars Rajkumar Rao (Shahid, Kai Po Che and Queen), Pulkit Samrat (Fukrey) and Varun Sharma (Fukrey) in pivotal roles. The duo of Sajid-Wajid, unsurprisingly, have been engaged to deliver the film’s soundtrack with featured vocal artists consisting of Sunidhi Chauhan (‘Sheila Ki Jawani’ – Tees Maar Khan), Mamta Sharma (‘Munni Badnaam’ – Dabangg), Rahet Fateh Ali Khan (‘Tere Mast Mast Do Nain’ – Dabangg) and Divya Kumar (‘Shake Your Bootiya’ – Finding Fanny).

To celebrate acclaimed Bollywood playback singer Sunidhi Chauhan’s UK tour, the team at BollySpice thought it would be cool to put together a special feature which looks at her greatest songs. Sunidhi is unsurprisingly in-demand amongst Bollywood filmmakers, who want her voice to be mimed by some of the hottest actresses in the industry. Her success is evident in the fact that she will be gracing the stage of the prestigious Royal Albert Hall in London this Friday as part of her UK tour.
Having first acquired popularity by singing the songs for the film Mast (1999), Sunidhi is considered one of few who can use her voice to give it that provocative touch. She has sung to some of Bollywood’s most iconic tracks and has to some extent contributed towards the popularity of actresses like Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu by lending them her voice in their films.

Mumbai, July 5: Singer Sonu Nigam, who has lent his voice to a newcomer Tanuj Veervani for "Luv U Soniyo", says only the song and credibility of the composer matters to him, not the actor on whom the song would be filmed.
Tanuj is actress Rati Agnihotri's son, who is making his debut with the film, being directed by Joe Rajan.
"When I sang in 'Mast', at that time Aftab Shivdasani was also a new-comer and all the songs were hit. So you cannot judge a song's success by its star-cast," said the singer in an interview here.
He added that he gives importance to "song and music composer's credibility".
Why don't current.

After Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardaar have battled it out theatres, we can now shift gears and return to that ‘other’ hugely awaited gem Dabangg 2! The anticipation has always been there, but the promotions have been lying low until the teaser trailer and “Dagabaaz Re” were released last week. Our lovable rogue Chulbul Pandey is back, fighting off more villains and romancing his wife Rajo (Sonakshi Sinha). The promos have increasingly been impressive, with Sajid and Wajid back as music directors for this huge film. When Dabangg to came out, it was hailed as a gamechanger, because it brought back that 80s masala revival and a rustic and desi sound that has made its way on nearly every album since. Thus, Dabangg 2 is keenly awaited on all counts, and Sajid and Wajid pitch in a good effort with this album.

The last time Rahat Fateh Ali Khan had visited the Netherlands, his concert took place in a theater. Once upon a time filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma and diamond merchant cum film financer Bharat Shah were close friends. Shah had financed a lot of Rgv's projects including the likes of Satya, Mast, Jungle, Company and even Rgv Ki Aag. However, now the duo are at loggerheads following a complaint lodged by Shah to the Association of Motion Pictures Television Programme Producers (Amptpp) against Rgv for non-payment of dues to him. The Amptpp in turn has sent a legal notice to Rgv. Shah claims that he had paid over Rs. 10 crores to Rgv over the years and is yet to recover even the principal amount forget the interest. Moreover, Shah is also miffed with Rgv's plans of making a sequel to Satya as he believes the filmmaker doesn't have the rights to the cult classic. The Amptpp is waiting for Rgv's response on this matter.

Last night, Saturday 12th November, saw Sunidhi Chauhan and Kk perform for the first time live at London’s Wembley Arena, one the city’s largest indoor arenas, where nearly all of Bollywood’s greatest, stars and singers, have performed to audiences in excess of twelve thousand.
This was Kk’s first time performing in London and Sunidhi’s second. First on stage was Kk, whose career catapulted with “Tadap Tadap” in Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, to now having sung over 500 songs in Hindi, and what’s interesting is that Kk has never had any formal training! An absolute natural on stage, he entertained the crowds with a mix of his slower melodious tunes (Ajab si – Om Shaanti Om), with the more upbeat popular tracks (Zara si – Jannat). Ritesh Deshmukh and Boman Irani took on the mantle of hosting the Iifa Awards for the fourth year in a row, bringing the laughs. Their chemistry and comic timing are well-known, especially their ability to go the distance for a good joke. The audience saw them in various costumes and avatars as they entertained, parodied popular films and generally had a good time.
Not only that, but the superstar legend of the evening, Shah Rukh Khan, helped them with a few of their hosting responsibilities at the beginning of the show. This led to one of the most shocking moments of the show. A fan jumped up onto the stage at one point,...

Salman Khan is ‘Ready’ with another bang. The music of the Anees Bazmee directed ‘Ready’ was released recently and the peculiarity of this album is that it has just four tracks (plus four remixes). After the hit music of Wanted and ‘Dabbang’, fans seem to be looking forward to some chart busting music from the maverick actors new film. So does the album deliver? Chakpak?s Brijesh Bharadwaj finds out…
Character Deela from Ready
Track 01 — Character Dheela (Ishq Ke Naam); Singers: Neeraj Shreedhar, Amrita Kak; Lyricist: Amitabh Bhattacharya; Length: 3:47
The first song of the album (an Item number featuring Salman with Zarine Khan) contains all the elements to make it a runaway hit. It has racy beats with good supporting lyrics, and composer Pritam once again proves his mastery in blending English and Hindi lyrics successfully. Lyricist Amitabh Bhatacharya brings us attitude filled lines like ?Farak padta hai kya,...

The award for most 'Underrated Actor' over and over again has been given to Aftab Shivdasani by fans and admirers. He was a Rgv debutant who wooed the ladies with Mast and later went onto impress the critics with Kasoor. However, what poor Aftab could never do is win the box office lotto! While the actor was part of some hits such as Masti and Awara Paagal Deewana, he's yet to have a solid blockbuster he can call his own.
2011 may just be the year for the actor who has returned from a yearlong break, which he says, was an important decision as every creative person needs a break to reinvent themselves. The actor now returns with Chandrakant Singh's (Rama Rama Kya Hai Drama) film Bin Bulaye Baarati. He's already started shooting for the film and is very psyched about it.

Why do you want to turn producer?
One of the reasons is that I want to do films of my type and secondly I liked the script.
So will you be working with establishes directors or newcomers?
I would want to work with established directors like Rakyesh Mehra and Raju Hirani.
