The trailer of Red Chillies Entertainment and Dharma Productions upcoming venture Ittefaq has left the audience intrigued. The makers are now making sure to give the audience more reasons to watch the film. Continuing the on-going trend of recreating old numbers, Ittefaq also will have a revamped version of the iconic song, Raat Baaki.
The Bappi Lahiri and Asha Bhonsle song, picturised on Amitabh Bachchan and Parveen Babi, from the film Namak Halal will now have a new version.
Apart from announcing that the song is a part of the film, Sonakshi Sinha also wrote that the film has wrapped. She posted a picture with her co-actor Sidharth Malhotra, producers Karan Johar and Juno Chopra as well as the director of the film Abhay Chopra. The actress captioned the image as, “And its a wrap for #Ittefaq with #RaatBaaki! Amazing journey with these Fun-tastic ppl!”

In Hindi, “Irada” translates to “intention.” But while writer/director Aparnaa Singh’s feature has a noble one, it’s too often blurred by execution that falls short on almost every level. The social relevance angle is apparent; in fact, the heart-wrenching illumination of Punjab’s chemically-contaminated water and illegal reverse boring practices, and their cancerous effects on the community, bears a vague but unmistakable resemblance to the discoveries Julia Roberts made as Erin Brockovich in the 2000 film. But around that theme swirls several overlapping stories and issues competing for attention.
One is that of Parabjeet Walia (Naseeruddin Shah)—whose daughter Riya (Rumana Molla) develops terminal cancer from swimming in the tainted water—and his potential involvement with the mysterious bombing of tycoon Paddy Sharma’s (Sharad Kelkar) pharmaceutical company, which has suspicious ties to the toxic material. The incident’s investigation is helmed by Arjun Mishra (Arshad Warsi), a...

Monkey Kingdom is the latest from DisneyNature. It’s a documentary narrated by Tina Fey that follows a newborn monkey and its mother as they struggle to survive within the competitive social hierarchy of the Temple Troop, a dynamic group of monkeys who live in ancient ruins found deep in the storied jungles of South Asia.
When Melissa Howland reviewed Monkey Kingdom at We Are Movie Geeks, she wrote: “Once again, (filmmakers) Linfield, Fothergill and crew capture some of the most spectacular images of the jungle and its’ inhabitants that most humans would never have the opportunity to see. Composer Harry Gregson-Williams brings the ancient ruins and jungles to life with his score. As with the previous Disneynature features, the end credits give audiences a glimpse into what the actual filming was like (monkeys taking selfies, anyone?). Monkey Kingdom is spellbinding.” Read all of Mellissa’s review Here

Steven Petrow wrote the book on queer etiquette, literally. Steven Petrow's Complete Gay & Lesbian Manners addresses everything from social graces at same-sex weddings to current queer verbiage. Petrow also writes a bi-monthly column called "Civil Behavior" for the New York Times, in which he answers questions from gay and straight readers about good gay behavior. People who seek out books and newspaper articles on how to behave most civilly toward their fellow human beings are usually the people who need the advice least of all, and so even though Petrow's column and subsequent discussions on his Facebook page take place in the age of mass Internet vitriol, the conversations are usually quite affable, even when they're about hot button issues.

The Fall TV Season presentations for all the new network shows take place this week with the third announced earlier today. Here's a full breakdown of which concepts have made the final list over on ABC.
The network is changing up some of its serialized dramas - removing random repeats in favor of two "uninterrupted runs" of twelve episodes each (one in the fall, one in the spring) for shows like "Once Upon A Time," "Grey’s Anatomy," "Scandal" and "Revenge". The large gaps between the two half-seasons will be bridged by "limited series" designed around only 12-13 episode seasons.
Several other pilots didn't make the final cut and won't be seen including the high-profile "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen" rip-off "Gothica", McG's rip-off of Baz Luhrmann's "Romeo + Juliet" entitled "Westside", the series based on Disneyland's Big Thunder Mountain ride, the Annie Potts-led "Murder in Manhattan" about...

This week's episode of Glee is called "The Break-Up." Apparently all four of the show's power couples — Emma and Will, Rachel and Finn, Kurt and Blaine, and Brittany and Santana — are going to smash into an iceberg, and one of them is going to drown. We're hoping against hope that it won't be Brittana. But just in case, we present a list of TV's saddest lesbian break-ups to prepare us for the pain. Some of these couples broke up for a while, some of them broke up forever, but all of them broke our hearts.
Shane and Carmen, The L Word — It is a testament to the power of Shane's sex appeal that we ever forgave her for leaving Carmen at the altar during the third season of The L Word. Beautiful, funny, sweet, beautiful, loving, beautiful,...

Rani Mukerji. The very name triggers thoughts of a woman who is professional, determined and gutsy (both on and off screen!) and of course, who can forget her trademark husky voice!
As the incredible Rani turns 34, we look back on some of her acting finest, from debuting in Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat; she’s shown that she has what it takes to make it in Bollywood. With super hits such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega, Chori Chori Chupke Chupke, Saathiya, Chalte Chalte, Hum Tum, Bunty aur Babli and Paheli, demonstrating that she has the commercial power to reel in the masses, which makes her a bankable star the directors can rely on.
She’s also shown that she has the acting finesse to be able to play a whole host of characters and emotions, such as, ‘Sashi’ in Yuva, ‘Saamiya Siddiqui’ the feisty lawyer in Veer-Zaara,...

hollywoodnews.com: SNL alumni Kristen Wiig and Maya Rudolp may be responsible for bringing in crowds to see “Bridesmaids”, but a strong supporting cast will make the movie a success. Minor characters played by Melissa McCarthy (“Mike & Molly”) and Jill Clayburgh provide unexpected comic relief to the film, in addition to laughs commanded by the protagonist, Annie (played by Wiig).
The plot surrounds bride Lillian (Maya Rudolph) stuck in the middle between her childhood best friend, Annie, and new friend Helen (Rose Byrne) as they vie to play the Maid of Honor to her wedding despite the fact that Annie has been officially asked. Helen (successfully) attempts to sabotage Annie’s efforts to be Lillian’s “bestie”, taking advantage of Annie’s relative lack of success in business and in relationships to upstage her at every turn.
The plot is surprisingly non-linear, following Annie as she struggles...

Hollywood has come up with so many movies on memory loss, while Bollywood too has had its share of films which depicted the protagonist losing his memory, Ghajini being the most recent example. But what if someone robs your memory? Quite an interesting thought, isn't it?
One of the advantages of having a GenNext director is, he's ready to take risks, ready to tread the untrodden path, ready to go where no one has been before. But there's a disadvantage too: Visuals and technique take precedence, while story takes a backseat. Prince has a terrific first half, where technique and content go hand in hand, but technique overpowers the content in its post-interval portions.
What surprises you is that Prince is penned by the writer of Race [Shiraz Ahmed] and like Race, Prince too has several twists and turns every 15 odd minutes. But the twists and turns are a mixed bag here - captivating at times,...

This week, Tijs Verwest, known around the world as DJ Tiësto, will be headlining the Ultra Music Festival at the Winter Music Conference 2010 in Miami. Considered primarily a trance music DJ, he remains among electronic music's few heavyweights, frequently commanding audiences of tens of thousands at his club gigs. His recent Kaleidoscope World Tour saw him sell out arenas in England, a feat seldom achieved by a "club DJ." His last show at Ipanema Beach in Brazil drew 250,000 fans. And while one might think that as the reigning king of trance music his Wmc 2010 performance will be just another in a career of hundreds of such shows, it's refreshing to hear that, according to him, he'll also be attending as a fan.

Everyone who’s someone in the film industry knows Sanjay Dutt loves to sing. He did so in the two Sanjays’- Chhel and Gupta’s Khubsoorat and Zinda, and he even sang with Asha Bhosle in her album.
But a song in the somewhat delayed Aladdin was just not on the anvil.
So how did the over-committed Dutt end up not only singing, but also acting for the song last week?
Simple! Director Sujoy Ghosh made Sanjay an offer he couldn’t resist.
Says Sujoy, “Dutt Saab- that’s what I call him after his dad’s demise- sang the track ‘Maya’ for my film Home Delivery, though he.
