South Park is not what you would consider a sentimental show. Yet, for the many years the animated classic has been on the air, it’s proven that it has a soft spot for holiday joy. Sure, that soft spot just happens to include a sentient Christmas turd but that’s just the closest you’re going to get to ooey-gooey feelings with creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.
In its earlier seasons, South Park‘s schedule often ran through December and the show was happy to provide viewers with an accompanying Christmas special. Christmas episodes have become rarer for the series since but there are still at least 10 distinct holiday installments in the show’s canon…and that’s not even including “The Spirit of Christmas” short from 1995 that would eventually become South Park.
In the spirit of the season, we decided to go ahead and rank all of the South Park Christmas specials!

South Park Season 23 Episode 10
Santa Claus is as old as South Park itself. Saint Nick first appeared in Matt Stone and Trey Parker’s underground short “The Spirit of Christmas,” the viral video that led to the creation of South Park—long before viral videos were even a thing. The concept of “Father Christmas” dates back to 16th century England. So you can forgive Kris Kringle if he’s a little conservative in the philosophical sense. In this modern age, the spirit of Christmas has yet again taken on new meaning in the town of South Park.
The South Park season 23 finale, “Christmas Snow,” sees Santa fighting the town not with his fists—Lord knows this version of Santa never shies away...

Santa returns to “South Park” for the Comedy Central show’s season finale this week, and is bringing some good ole-fashioned Christmas cheer. Wait no, sorry, we meant the opposite of that.
Don’t believe us? Here is the logline for Wednesday’s episode, titled “Christmas Snow,” and you can watch Santa turn into Debbie Downer in the video above:
It’s a bleak Christmas Season in ‘South Park’ this year and it’s all Santa’s fault. He is single handedly stealing the joy from the holiday. The town just wants their Christmas Spirit back but that will take a Christmas miracle.

It’s still better than last season, when Santa attempted to deliver some Christmas cheer to the citizens of South Park in the Season 22 finale. That was until he found out they kicked out his old pal Mr.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are getting into the holiday spirit!
The lovebirds teamed up for a special performance of their new duet, "You Make It Feel Like Christmas," on Monday's episode of The Voice, melting our hearts with their powerful vocals and undeniable chemistry.
Stefani, 48, opted for a festive ensemble, consisting of a sheer black dress with red-and-green flowers, over-the-knee boots and her signature red lip. Her beau, 41, sported a more casual look -- a black vest and tie over plaid shirt and dark wash jeans.
Around the stage, their dancers pranced around in '50s-inspired garb: the guys in leather jackets, skinny jeans and Converse, the ladies in plaid poodle skirts, ruffled socks and turtlenecks.
"I never thought I'd find a love like this," Stefani sang, adorably staring into Shelton's baby blues. "But I found forever in that very first kiss. I wanna thank you, baby. You make it feel like Christmas."

Sure, those of us who celebrate Hanukkah get eight crazy nights of lighting the menorah, presents and parental guilt, but you know what we don't get? Literally hundreds of songs, television specials, or commercials about our December (sometimes November) holiday. Also, Christmas trees.
We're all for Santa Claus and Christmas miracles, but sometimes Jewish kids just want to feel the pop culture love too. Luckily, we've been given that gift on a few occasions. Put on your yarmulkes -- it's time to celebrate the eight best times Maccabees got a little love on TV.

All hail the greatest holiday of all: Chrismukkah! For four glorious seasons, we swooned over Seth Ezekiel Cohen's inventive day and the mad joy with which he celebrated it. Seth and his best friend/adopted brother Ryan Atwood never had to choose between celebrating Christmas or Hanukkah, and Jesus and Moses were always on their side to save them from...

Three’s Company was the ‘Friends’ of its day; a sit-com about three twenty-somethings sharing an apartment in Santa Monica California going through the ups and downs of life for the singles set of the late 70s. The American version of the UK show ‘Man About the House’, Tc was considered a groundbreaking show. Hard to believe just over 30 years ago men and women living under one roof as platonic friends was not only a novel idea for television, but a shocking and controversial premise. Juvenile jokes, double-entendres, and ridiculous plot-lines were all part of the fun, but Tc was also a true reflection of the shifting morals and values of young America arriving in the last days of disco and jiggle TV.
Several pilots were made with different actors before John Ritter, Joyce Dewitt and Suzanne Somers were selected to play the roommates we came to know and love.

This week in the MTV Newsroom, we're celebrating some of our favorite stars of 2011 by asking you, their loyal fans, which of their videos from the last year is your favorite. Yesterday, we opened things up with Katy Perry and today, in honor of her 22nd birthday, we're taking a look back at Taylor Swift's big year.
We love Taylor Swift in the MTV Newsroom. Sure, we sometimes have a little fun at her expense with our "This Week In Taylor Swift" posts, but it's because she's so dang adorable when she takes to her Twitter to post pictures of her kitten Meredith or homemade Christmas snow globes that there's nothing else to say other than "That's so Taylor!" Her genuine niceness and innate wholesomeness stands in sharp contrast with the behavior of most of her celebrity peers and it's something we're thankful for. There are, after all, only...

It was better late than never for Eric Clapton recently when he played two charity concerts in Britain after the pre-Christmas snow caused the original dates to be postponed.
The legendary guitarist headlined two nights at the Cranleigh Arts Centre earlier this month as part of a star-studded lineup that included soul-singer Pp Arnold and former Manfred Mann frontman and show organizer Paul Jones.
Money from the shows went to Clapton’s Crossroads Centre – which he opened in 1998 on the beautiful Caribbean island of Antigua to help those who suffer from chemical abuse – as well as the National Deaf Children’s Society, the Evelina Children’s Heart Organisation and the Cranleigh Arts Centre.

Pre-Christmas snow put the brakes on Tron: Legacy, but at least it did better than disappointing Burlesque and Fred: The Movie
Snow 1, Tron 0When you release a film in spring or early summer, you always run the risk that a freak sunny weekend will play havoc with your box office. In winter, however bad the weather, it's rare for conditions to be so severe that it deters potential cinemagoers from leaving their homes. So whatever you think of Disney's decision to reactivate its long-dormant Tron property – gutsy move or standard Hollywood creative atrophy – it's hard not to feel some sympathy for the unlucky timing of the UK release.
The last weekend before Christmas, with schools across the country breaking up for the festive holiday, should be the right time to release a film with family appeal. Tron: Legacy debuted with a lacklustre £1.97m, below the opening of the previous week's Chronicles of Narnia instalment,...

Before I begin my review, I must mention that I do not hate Jesus, Christians, or Christian filmmakers. I grew up in an evangelical church, watching Veggie Tales and listening to Psalty cassette tapes. Today, I am a professing Christian, and going into this movie, I understood the culture that created A Christmas Snow. On some level, I even appreciate someone trying to make a family-friendly film. However, all of my understanding cannot excuse that this is a really bad movie.
In A Christmas Snow, Kathleen (Catherine Mary Stewart) is a restaurant owner who everyone says hates Christmas. I don’t really think that she hates Christmas. There is never any indication that she hates Christmas other than the fact that she keeps her restaurant open on Christmas Day, the newspaper’s food critic calls her a Grinch, and her father abandoned her family on Christmas Eve. She might not...
