Great, Funny Pilot!
g-bodyl22 September 2013
Boy Meets World is an awesome and often pretty funny show. It has themes about growing up and facing problems of adolescent life. This was a big part of my childhood and I remember watching this show all the time. This show has funny jokes and many iconic figures such as Cory Matthews and the legendary Mr. Feeney.

This pilot episode introduces us to Cory, his brother Eric, his best friend Hunter, and his teacher/principal Mr. Feeney. When Cory is caught listening to the Phillies game in class, Feeney gives him detention and a life lesson on love.

Overall, this is a fantastic episode that is really funny though sometimes juvenile. I loved the interplay between Cory and Feeney and of course we will see more over the course of the next six seasons. I rate this episode 9/10.

Warning: Spoilers
i love this show! i truly do!! its full of comedy and drama! i'm planning on getting all the seasons because its like you're being ATTACHED into their lives yourself! With Eric Matthews(Ben Savage) as the boy who grows up in Phillidephia with his best friends (Rider Strong) Shawn Hunter and his girlfriend(or so she is a little later onto the show AND they get married too toawards the ending of the seasons! which is soo romantic BUT they've known each other since they were in daipers!)(Danielle Fishel)Topanga Lawrence-Matthews .. ERIC MATTHEWS(Will Friedle)his EVER SO CUTE FUNNY Brother..his mom, Amy and Dad, Alan and little sister .. and his "forever long time" Teacher/ principal George Feeny,(William Daniels) who you will come to love in this show, and a LOT MORE important people get introduced into the show as it goes on It has always been one of my most favorite shows. They talked about everything from a child's perspective to a teenager's perspective to an adult's perspective. The relationships and problems that all these friends and family have faced have come quite a way to show you how it relates to everyday situations. They all treat each other with love and care showing us that they all are one big happy family From Shawn's parents splitting up to his dad dying. They show the progression to a wonderful relationship between Cory and Topanga from them being together from the age of 8 months olod, to the two of them getting married. Some episodes can make you laugh and some can make you cry. It is like a Friends episode for children. It is a wonderful story of friendships, relationships, and life

I'm the king of idiots for waiting so long to see this show

Warning: Spoilers
Mr. Feeny is teaching the class about the importance of love and affection with his class reenacting Romeo & Juliet. Cory doesn't grasp the concept of love, especially since he's 11 years old. He thinks girls are pointless and has no interest in them. Cory gets admonished by Mr. Feeny for listening to the Phillies game in class, while Feeny is talking about love. To make matters worse, Cory feels betrayed by his older brother Eric, because Eric wants to replace Cory with a date instead. Cory doesn't take too kindly to this, so he moves out, into the tree house. Cory learns some valuable lessons about love, respect, and loyalty.

I'll be honest. Up until a few days ago, I hadn't seen one episode of this show. I don't know if it's because everyone else raved about it, and the hype was too high for me, or something else, but I never watched this show when it was airing weekly or during its syndicated run. My knowledge of the characters isn't great, nor is my background on this show. I simply came across it on T.V a few days ago. I really enjoyed the characters, the humor, and the overall feeling the show gave me. It seemed to be right up my alley, and something that I could get easily addicted too. After enjoying a few episodes, I decided to start right from the beginning. I was so idiotic for waiting so long to watch this show. This show was made for me. Ben Savage is great as Corey. He's the perfect lead for this show. He's charismatic, funny, and hilariously sneaky with a good heart. Mr. Feeny is amazing as well as the grumpy teacher with a heart. Danielle Fishel had yet to show up as Topanga (Cory's girlfriend) Chauncey Leopardi (Nicholas) would be subsequently replaced after this episode, while Rider Strong would become a big fixture. Even Cory's parents make me smile. They are parents everyone dreams about having. This show has a great message about how tough it is to grow up, and when you grow up, you're priorities veer into other directions. When you're a kid, you don't pay much attention to love or things like that. The ending was amazingly well done. If you don't smile like an idiot throughout this pilot, something is wrong with you. If you made the mistake that I did, don't wait any longer. This show has something for everyone. It's safe to say I'm in love with this show. Funnily enough, Cory's dislike for women would change heavily in the years to come. He ends up marrying Topanga
