It's about Time!!!!!

This is the episode I had been WAITING FOR!!!! Mr. Haney once again swindles his neighbors (Mr. Ziffel) into buying more useless junk (a phony washing machine). Only this time he's actually sued for it and the damages his gadget caused! As much as I liked Mr. Haney, always in the front of my mind I thought "Somebody please sue him!" Why it took so long for Oliver Douglas to finally do it, I don't know. I can't help but love every moment of this episode and highly recommend it, whether you like Mr. Haney or hate him.

Ziffel vs Haney
zsenorsock3 September 2007
Warning: Spoilers
When the Ziffels buy a "Grabwell" washing machine from Mr. Haney (an outboard motor hooked on to a oil drum) it destroys their laundry and much of the Ziffel's house, including Arnold's TV set. The Ziffels turn to Oliver Wendell Douglas to sue Mr. Haney, something he is only too glad to do. Despite Oliver's excitement in messing up his opening statement--"this is not an insolated isodent" he actually wins the case and the Ziffels are awarded a judgment of $250, which Haney quickly tries to get out of.

You'd think the courtroom scene would yield the best laughs of this episode, but the funniest stuff occurs in the first half of the show. The best moment is the very first when Mr. Ziffel knocks on the Douglas' door and the credits sneak in behind him only to disappear when he turns to see what's there! He finally catches the last one, for director Bare. Inside he finds his wife talking to Lisa while Arnold enjoys watching the dryer, thinking its a TV. There is a funny discussion about Arnold's handwriting before a large statue arrives from Mr. Haney. Oliver says he didn't order it and when they check the signature, it looks suspiciously like Arnolds.

Arnold in this episode is played by a different pig than the earlier shows. This one if anything is more pink and well groomed, without the scruffy legs and the black marks around the eyes and ears the pig in the episode "I didn't raise my pig to be a soldier" had.

It's just too bad the second half of this show didn't live up to the promise of the first half.

One of the greatest episodes in TV history!

Out of the 170 Green Acres episodes, this is my absolute favorite! It's hard to imagine how they crammed so may laughs into a 25 minute episode. Their is never a dull moment. This episode has everything you expect to see in Green Acres, Satire, fourth wall brakes, Visual gags and all your favorite characters.
