One of the funniest, but most underrated episode ever

Warning: Spoilers
Most people I know who have watched King of the Hill just on regular television (not through a streaming app) have not seen this episode but it's actually a really funny and accurate! Poor Connie gets her period while her parents are away on a business trip and poor Hank is the one left to deal with it since she is staying with The Hill's. He's a typical man in the situation and Connie also doesn't know anything about it. Hank does his best until he can get ahold of Peggy. Hell, I think he does better than most men would in this situation. He's kind, caring and patient and from the looks of it he misses an entire day of work just to deal with it. This episode has both subtle and in your face humor. If you have Hulu watch the show and watch this episode. I rank it in the top 5 of the best King of the Hill episodes.

Warning: Spoilers
Connie is staying with the Hill's while her parents are at a business conference. Problem arises when Connie gets her first period and the only one at home with her is Hank! She can't even say it she had to write it , I thought Hank would have a stroke! He tries to contact her parents and Peggy to no avail. He calls his mother and hangs up on her ( feeling bad about it but he can't get the words out) .

Hank takes Connie to the school nurse thinking that will solve everything but only gives her temporary supplies and tells Connie what she needs to do. The nurse tells Connie and Hank they will have to go to the store for more supplies and gives them a list. Hank takes Connie to the store and he stands as close to the edge of aisle 8 as possible! Connie gets upset the money she had won't cover everything she needs and it's all confusing her. Hank reluctantly goes to see what the problem is. He's actually good about it as uncomfortable as it makes him . He takes over and tells Connie he will buy all of it . He reads the list and gets the items and quickly gets them out of there!

He has the cops get Peggy out of school so she can help Connie! It's hilarious. When Peggy finds out she feels bad for Connie but makes the remark in their entire marriage she never got Hank past Aisle 5! Lol Peggy also explains to Bobby what is going on so he can be understanding of Connie.

When her parents get home Connie is grumpy with her dad but had bonded with Hank .

Her mother tells Connie some helpful things and not so helpful things about what is going on .

When Connie tells Bobby her mother told her boys only want one thing from girls he replied " did she say what it is ? Because I am so confused!! " again hilarious. He's worried she's a woman now and everything is different but Connie says that's really only for four days a month. They can live with that !

A funny, touching and underrated episode. It's also good at pointing out about the cost of the needed supplies. It may seem like an insignificant part but it isn't.

King of the Hill as an educational tool...

Warning: Spoilers
As a professor of psychology (development classes), I use this episode in class to show students about the psychology of puberty. Bobby Hill is a typical teen, and this episode offers so many examples of "normal." Bobby is curious about relationships, but scared to attempt any romance. He does work on his charm, and tries out his suave skills on Connie. Bobby and Joseph are at very different stages of development, and poor Connie (poor Hank?) has a typical frustrating/embarrassing first menstruation experience. Hank is typical of many men (not just Texans) feeling uncomfortable with both the topic, and talking to Connie, Bobby, and his mother about it. He also assumes that Connie needs emergency medical care, and that Peggy is better suited for handling the issue. Don't miss the brief exchange between Bobby and Joseph about half-way through the episode. Bobby Hill is great with the naive one liner!
