It is Owen's birthday party and this is where everyone notices Bailey's problem. Grace's parents come over and to her surprise they like Charlie. Julia thinks that Sam is racist and breaks up with him.
It goes really great with the Bailey story. They managed to show him having a big problem showing up drunk to his little brother's party and also hitting Charlie. Interesting also how Charlie didn't want to admit this problem. But everyone thinking there is one is opening his eyes.
The racism story was interesting. The thing is that I don't think they showed real racism. I mean he told a stupid joke and after that he said he doesn't think it is reality. But maybe they couldn't show real racism on TV then. Maybe they wanted to show that even if one doesn't feel it is a problem there actually might be. Was actually a good point they made, as well with Julia saying that all the good things he made for her are overshadowed by this bad quality.
