Funny Episode

I don't get the hate. This is a funny episode and Tom Arnold didn't write this episode so either that was a lie about Joan writing in her autobiography how much she loathed the writing/script or Joan is a liar.

Sure, this episode isn't as funny as several of the episodes, but Joan commands the scenes and I find her to be quite funny.

All in all, quite an enjoyable episode.

Not sure why I have to type out so much for this review to count, but I am just going to keep typing until it meets the character criteria.

On and on I type, still trying to meet the criteria.

And there, I finally met it.

First Cousin, Twice Removed (#5.17)

Warning: Spoilers
Roseanne's cousin Ronnie comes to town. They have some problems over some broken promises in the past and try to make up. But then Ronnie suggests Darlene to drop out of high school and go to writing school She said she will pay for it and let her stay at her place. Roseanne has to tell he daughter no and gets in a confrontation with Ronnie about it.

Compared to other episodes this one is pretty bad. It seems like it was just done for Joan Collins to show off. Ronnie is a nasty character whom I hated and hope to never see again. A totally arrogant snob.

Maybe they will go on with the story of Darlene wanting to go away from home but this can't really work since they can't lose all their kids.
