Ballerina Tights

It's a different setting for PI Gunn. Think urban crime and ballet doesn't come immediately to mind. Here, however, it's the leaping and cross-legged kicking that grabs attention, especially with that acrobatic opening hook. Seems ballet dancer Nico has gone crazy and is institutionalized. Trouble is that he escapes and gangster Wallace (Dubov) worries that Nico will try to kill him. Pete's hired by comely North (Vanderveen) to help return Nico to therapy.

Note the cavernous stage that Pete and Jacoby wander around in. It's likely an empty sound stage there at the studio. Also, depicting our favorite cop lieutenant as a student of ballet is amusing, especially when he critiques a performance. Except for the dance theme, the plot's pretty standard. Good thing Edwards and co. knew that slickly colorful style would make the series. It surely does here.
