"Death Row" tells the story of a formerly bullied prisoner who seeks revenge and goes on a killing spree, desperate to take the lives of as many prisoners and guards as possible during a program in an abandoned prison.
The movie tells its story more or less in the first ten minutes, everything that follows are just numberous repetitions of the same thing without much tension or any lessons to be learned. While there is some thought behind the killer getting away with it, some of the characters behave amazingly dumb and make you question how serious you can take the plot. The film is clearly low budget, which excuses some of the weaknesses, but nontheless a bit more twists and creativity would haver helped to prevent one and a half hours of the same thing over and over again. You do grow some dislike towards the killer, but who wouldn't under the given circumstances.
All in all this is only something for fans of low budget killing sprees, everyone else will find better movies to invest time in. As always, though, this is just my opinion and if you're eager to watch, go give it a try.
