He went on: “There was a set put up for ‘Shaan’ and she was a big part of the movie. I remember walking up to the director of the film, Ramesh Sippy’s office. I was a nobody then, he just looked at me and said,...

If actress Kangana Ranaut's tirade against Alia Bhatt wasn't enough, the former's sister Rangoli Chandel entered the 'war of words' zone, as did the Raazi actress' mother Soni Razdan and co-actor Randeep Hooda. Kangana has been calling out Alia since earlier this year for not supporting her film Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi, and had claimed this was all a part of a "strange sort of racket" in a section of the film industry. She had also called Alia a product of Karan Johar's "nepotistic gang".
Ever since, Kangana has made several references regarding Alia, the latest being over her "mediocre" performance in the otherwise widely lauded Gully Boy.
But in a recent interview, Alia merely said: "I respect Kangana's work a lot and I respect her opinion. If she feels a particular way she must have reason to feel that way. I would rather remember how much...

Director Mohit Suri, who is, at 33, Bollywood’s youngest veteran, is already nine films old.
Some of his earlier films like Awarapan, Zeher, Woh Lamhe, Murder-2 and Aashiqui-2, are evidence of his school of romance, which keeps away from roses and candy floss. In a time where run-of-the-mill romantic comedies are abundant, Suri’s cinema continues to depict romance in its intense, haunting and raw form.
His forthcoming release, Ek Villain, is a story about prohibited and forbidden love, bearing the quintessential Suri trademark.
Says Mohit, “Ek Villain speaks of a love that wasn’t meant to be. The sweet girl-next-door with fire in her heart and an angry young man hell-bent on setting the world on fire. This is an unconventional musical romance born out of angst.”
From all the new screen pairings, the fresh Sidharth – Shraddha combination has evoked unprecedented excitement amongst the youth. Trade pundits are gambling...

Mohit Suri’s Ek Villain starring Riteish Deshmukh, Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor is among the most keenly awaited films of the season what with his enviable track record of blockbusters behind him.
Talking about the film’s unusual casting, Mohit says, “I’ve never followed convention. I’ve never cast people just because they’re hot or popular. For me, it’s always been about who is right for the role. Riteish, for instance, has never done something like this before. You’ve seen him largely in comic roles. Yet when you watch Ek Villain you will realize that there is no one better than Riteish for this role. Sidharth has struggled his way up; he’s seen dark days. There was angst in him that made him a perfect fit for this film. Shraddha is more like a boyfriend, a guy buddy I can call in the middle of the night.

There is no doubt that the soundtrack of Ek Villain is among the year’s most eagerly awaited.
After all Mohit Suri’s previous films Zeher, Woh Lamhe, Awarapan, Murder-2, Raaz-2 and Aashiqui-2 have all been musical hits and what Balaji and Suri come up with next, in their maiden outing together, is the subject of much excitement.
While the soundtrack of Ek Villain is due to release shortly, word has it that Shraddha Kapoor has turned singer for her director. Shraddha is the daughter of Shivangi Kolhapure, who is Lata Mangeshkar’s niece.
The track titled ‘Galliyan’, is a duet with composer-singer Ankit Tiwari, who shot to fame with ‘Sunn Raha Hai Na Tu’ (Aashiqui-2).
The original ‘Galliyan’, a solo rendition by Ankit Tiwari, will be the first track from the film to be unveiled soon.

Mumbai, March 27: The success of "Queen" has catapulted Kangana Ranaut to the big league, but the "self-made" actress who has quite a few given good films in her eight-year career, says she is only "trying to make my own identity" and doesn't aspire to win "flavour of the season" tag.
From her first film "Gangster - A Love Story" to "Woh Lamhe", "Life...in a Metro", "Fashion" and "Tanu Weds Manu", the 27-year-old proved her mettle whenever she faced the camera. But the success of Vikas Bahl directed "Queen", which has collected about Rs.50 crore at the domestic box-office, is like an icing on the cake.
But the success hasn't.

The cast of the film Aashiqui 2, a sequel to the Rahul Roy- Anu Aggarwal musical blockbuster Aashiqui, has now been finalized. The film will be a love triangle starring Shraddha Kapoor opposite Aditya Roy Kapoor and Shaad Randhawa. Now this is one conflict that Emraan Hashmi wouldn't have seen coming. On one end, he is working hard to get a good success rate outside the banner of Bhatts. On the other hand, those belonging to the inner circle of Bhatts don't seem to be too happy with the kind of content that that is being churned by the 'outside' filmmakers for Emraan starrers. The latest to lead a tirade in that direction is Shagufta Rafique, a writer (of films like Raaz 3, Jism 2, Raaz - The Mystery Continues) and close confidante of Mahesh Bhatt, who has openly criticised Ekta Kapoor on a public forum for her recent film The Dirty Picture. Shagufta's recent post on a social networking site said, "When Mahesh Bhatt makes Gangster, Ekta Kapoor makes Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. When he makes Woh Lamhe on the life of an actor, she tells the story...
