On the Road movie reedited for Toronto screening Based on Jack Kerouac's '50s novel, Walter Salles' Otr adaptation starring Garrett Hedlund, Sam Riley, and Kristen Stewart (above photo) will be screened at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. We all knew that. What we didn't know is that Tiff 2012 will unveil a new cut of the film (via indieWIRE), which premiered last spring at the Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews. The 2hr20m drama has been downsized to approximately 125 minutes. That's an interesting development, as Otr has already been screened in several countries, with varying degrees of box-office success. [Check out the On the Road trailer. Check out Kristen Stewart On the Road poster; Garrett Hedlund On the Road poster.] Otr movie reedit hardly unique On the other hand, different cuts shown in different countries is hardly something new. Whether as a result of poor critical/box-office reception, (perceived) local sensibilities, and/or censorship, the movie you watch in, say, Canada isn't necessarily the exact same movie watched by someone in Singapore,...

Today, Robert Pattinson ("Edward Cullen") stepped out in Berlin, Germany to promote the premiere of Bel Ami at the Berlin Film Festival. He joined co-stars Christina Ricci and Holliday Grainger (with whom - fun fact - he also starred in The Bad Mother's Handbook so many years ago) for a photocall and press conference in support of the film's international release, which begins March 2nd. In Bel Ami - which is based on the Guy de Maupassant novel of the same name - Pattinson portrays "Georges DuRoy," a man in nineteenth century Paris who uses his sexuality with important women to climb the social ladder. The film was shot in Budapest, Hungary last summer, just after Pattinson had completed filming for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 and The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 and worldwide promotions for Water For Elephants ...

Rob's co-star Holliday Grainger says it was 'R-Patz mad' on the set -- don't you love how he has fans all over the world? Robert Pattinson can't even go to Eastern Europe without being noticed! Holliday Grainger, who plays one of Rob's love interests in Bel Ami, says the set was on lock down -- even in the wee hours of the morning! "Full on hundreds of fans outside all of the time," she tells Access Hollywood of the set. "It was pretty constant, that was in Budapest. Budapest just went R-Patz mad and even at five in the morning! We couldn’t move without trying to stop the fans from getting on the set." Holliday, who worked with Rob in the 2007 film The Bad Mother's Handbook, says she was so impressed that the attention didn't phase Rob one bit! "I worked with him pre-Twilight as well," Holliday adds. "Him as a person,...

We love hearing stories about how Rob Pattinson is still down to earth, even though he's one of the biggest celebrities in the world! Robert Pattinson plays down his fame all the time, but it should come as no surprise to you it's not an act at all. The 25-year-old Twilight star is truly your average, charming guy -- not stuck up and affected by fame, says his Bel Ami co-star, Holliday Grainger. "[Rob hasn't changed] at all," the actress, who worked with Rob in the 2007 film, The Bad Mother's Handbook, told Stv. "He's a lovely guy. Always has been." Since she'd acted with him years before, Holliday wasn't nervous about having to lock lips with the hunky star in Bel Ami. "I have worked with him pre-Twilight so I wasn't massively scared having to go in there and snog him," she explained. Don't you love hearing confirmation about Rob being a nice guy?...

One minute Robert Pattinson was an out-of-work musician, then Twilight turned him into Britain's second-highest paid actor. As the hugely successful vampire saga approaches its end, he tells Sanjiv Bhattacharya how frightening it is to emerge back into the daylight
When asked about the pressures of fame, Emma Watson (Hermione in the Harry Potter series) said she was thankful she wasn't Robert Pattinson. "I can't even imagine what that kind of fame must be like," she said. "So many people must wish they were in his position and think he has the best life, but actually there are prices you pay. Don't interpret that from my perspective. It's not so bad for me. I'm not in Rob's position: I don't have people screaming and crying and clawing at me. I'm so grateful for that."
It says something when the star of Harry Potter thinks that you're the one who's too famous.

Now here's a side of Robert Pattinson we don't see very often. Behold, R-Pattz getting his nerd on in a clip from the 2007 BBC production The Bad Mother's Handbook, in which the Twilight heartthrob portrays an awkward lad who develops a romance with a pregnant classmate. Wisely realizing that there's no such thing as too much R-Pattz, the show-biz powers that be have decided to issue the movie on DVD on August 24, following the wave of mania that's sure to greet the June 30 theatrical release of Twilight sequel Eclipse. Will you be picking up a copy for your R-Pattz collection?...

Being pasty, mopey and filled with indescribable longing isn't just for sparkly vampires anymore. Twilight's Robert Pattinson shows off his acting chops in The Bad Mother's Handbook, a 2007 BBC family drama in which the future Edward Cullen plays a super uncomfortable, scarf-wearing nerd—and is totally adorable at it, sigh—who begins a sweet romance with a pregnant classmate. Hitting DVD on the heels of Eclipse this summer, the film also stars Dr. Who's Catherine Tate, which adds immeasurably to its potent combination of nerd-chic and romantic angst. Check out some of the R.Pattziest parts in the clip above. You like?...

Before heart-throb vampire Edward Cullen there was a lovestruck teenager with bad hair and an even worse dress sense.
That boy was Daniel, played by Robert Pattinson in Bad Mother's Handbook.
The drama, which also stars Catherine Tate and Anne Reid, will be released on DVD by ITV Studios Home Entertainment on March 22.
The Bad Mother's Handbook tells the story of three generations of women - seventeen-year old Charlotte (Holly Grainger), her mum Karen (Tate) and her Nan (Reid).
It's described as "both hilarious and wise, a clear-eyed look at motherhood and childhood, from the moment the condom breaks to the moment you hear your baby's first cry. The realisation that no two mothers are alike and that ultimately love is the most important thing of all."
Twilight and New Moon star Robert Pattinson plays 17-year-old, floppy-haired Daniel. Originally from Guildford, Daniel has just moved into the area and is feeling unpopular and awkward.

While Robert Pattinson had certainly proven his prowess for screenacting prior to this year (with his work in films like Little Ashes, The Bad Mother's Handbook, Harry Potter And The Goblet Of Fire, and How To Be), in 2009 his name became an unavoidable one in popular culture due to his association with the Twilight series. In fact, he was chosen as the "Most Wanted" celebrity of the year by a research firm which specializes in celebrity information provision. According to their studies, Pattinson was the most sought-after celebrity of the year, topping a list of ten which also included Oprah Winfrey, Miley Cyrus, the Jonas Brothers, Barack Obama, Kate Gosselin, Selena Gomez, Tyler Perry, Angelina Jolie, and Ellen DeGeneres. While Pattinson's contact information should remain private, it is still interesting to see who people really want to talk to the most by this firm's standards. The resul ...

Robert Pattinson is sporting a pretty interesting balance of cinematic gigs. On the one hand, he's the drool-producing heartthrob from Harry Potter and -- most especially -- Twilight. On the other hand, he's playing the awkward young man in films like The Bad Mother's Handbook and How to Be. It's not exactly the sort of superstar roster we're used to (especially once you add Dali into the mix!), and always makes me wonder what we can expect from the future.

It seems like ages ago since Robert Pattinson was a name unknown to the mainstream world. Through films like How To Be and The Bad Mother's Handbook, Pattinson has been able to prove the capacity of his range - and it is wide. Not only does Pattinson have today (with The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Remember Me), the promise of tomorrow (with films like Bel Ami, Unbound Captives, and, of course, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse), but also many years to come. "everything goes well, you could be Leonardo DiCaprio or you could be Johnny Depp, or if you mess up you could be Orlando Bloom, so I don't know whether you're feeling incredibly excited"...

Declared the favorite character portrayal by many Robert Pattinson fans, Daniel Gale certainly was one interesting role for the Remember Me and The Twilight Saga: New Moon star. The film, called The Bad Mother's Handbook, tells the story of Karen Cooper and her daughter Charlotte and how they cope with an unexpected pregnancy. Charlotte, a straight A student who thrives despite her mother's irritability with all things life-related (including a wayward and despondent relationship with her own mother), gets pregnant by a boy in school who has a short attention span, whilst her mother - who dreams of Paris - expects nothing less from her than perfection and self-r...

There's speculation online about whether Twilight heart-throb Robert Pattinson will renew his contract to appear in Breaking Dawn, the planned fourth film in the franchise.
Pattinson's character Edward Cullen is a central part of Stephenie Meyer's original novel, which takes the character's relationship with Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) to new and dramatic levels.
But the 23-year-old actor's contract with fim-makers Summit Entertainment reportedly only covers the first three movies - Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse - and some fans and online commentators are speculating he may then opt out (or should opt out) to pursue other projects.
Pattinson previously had roles in films including Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, The Haunted Airman and The Bad Mother's Handbook.
He's also in Little Ashes, in which he plays surrealist painter Salvador Dali who has a love affair with poet Federico Garcia Lorca. The film came out on limited release...

Marc Malkin just addressed the question of whether Twilight and The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse star Robert Pattinson will be joining the cast of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Malkin says (video available below) that he doesn't see any reason why Pattinson would not join the cast. Some of Pattinson's fans, however, see the equation a little differently. Some fans of his are not Twilight fans, per se. Instead, they grew to love Pattinson for his work on films like The Bad Mother's Handbook, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, and The Haunted Airman and more recent films like How To Be and Little Ashes. One such group is the IMDb message board frequenters. These commenters cover all aspects of Pattinson's work in their discussions, but they aren't all Twilight fans. Robert Pattinson wasn't always the suave, self-assured blood-sucker that we've all come to know and love today. Before rising to international fame as sexy vampire Edward Cullen in Twilight, he starred as Daniel Gale in 2007's British TV movie The Bad Mother's Handbook. And trust us, he was a very nerdy boy. Stumbling, mumbling, his face obscured by hanging hair and glasses, Pattinson came across as the antithesis of his current self.
