A sweet moment in time
Davalon-Davalon20 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This film is only 5 minutes long. It's done without any dialogue and only one written line at the end. We are thrown into the night of a lonely young man on Valentine's Day. He has no one, but all around him are others clearly in love.

He walks into a crowded bar. Everyone's chatting and having fun. He catches the eye of an attractive young man at the end of the bar. They embark on a drinking challenge, with each round winning the other a slight more sexy smile.

There is a twist that throws our lead off his journey and we immediately feel that crushing loneliness return.

But then there's another twist at the end that gives him a sign of hope.

The ending wasn't really realistic in any possible way -- and for that reason, I can't give this a higher score. However, it was a sweet journey for 5 minutes and I'd love to see more of this director's work.

in a bar

Valentine's day. A lonely young man enters in a bar . A good looking stranger propose to him a sort of drinking competition. At the end, a source of bitter dissapointment and feeling about a cruel game .

In rest room, a message changing a lot, inspiring new serious slice of hope.

A very short film , reflecting admirable craft of use of details.

Two handsome young actors and the crowd of a bar in an important day and the change of gestures and looks. And, more important, the kick to see again this melancholical, sweet, charming short film about sadness, a moment of happiness and brocken illusions and the premises of new beginning.

In short, easy to define it as lovely.
