I originally played this series as an ambience and it grabbed my attention fast. It didnt seem too exciting by description and trailer, but after watching it, revealed to have more depth than just the metal boxing.
Its runs as a typical prodigy-underdog to prestigious competitor, but the story behind Levius and how the other characters begin to intertwine is what make this series. Along with the dynamic steam punk world and war that is still shrouded in mystery theres alot more this series can dig into while following Levuis' progress in metal boxing and what will be revealed as the series progresses.
Another review mentioned how Natalia is more of a peeve in the series which i can understand... but i found her charming and a relief in the somewhat bleak attitude other characters often have toward the sport and I believe she will have a bigger impact in the oncoming seasons.
My only gripes is how the end of season 1 was just a little over the top, and how the subtitles seem to portray the characters of having an english accent. I do wish they used english voice actors (u.k.) to better accommodate the subtitle script.
Overall, if youre into some of the other street fighting anime's on Netflix, chances are you'll like this take of an in the ring, metal boxing series, with its unraveling story and world.
