A hommage of a son to the memory of his father. Or an act of justice to a great photographer and his magnificent legacy.

It is difficult to define this documentary. It is a trip, a revelation and pure delight . Photos of French actresses and actors. Confessions about Philippe Doumic. And the light, beauty and truth of lost period.

Impressive was the word in my mind after the final scene. Because it is presented a splendid work, starting with the legendary portrait of Jean - Luc Godard . Because the film becomes, scene by scene, a necessary rehabilitation of a huge master of image. And for perfection of portraits, for eyes, for the trust of stars of day in Doumic , for the levels of his life, for the hard exploration of his legacy.

Not the last, for the beautiful crafted documentary. Short, just impressive.
