Great cast but slow and unnecessary episode.

(3.5 out of 5 stars).

Love the cast ensemble. But this episode is slow and boring. Especially, the main focus was at a late night party. The director of Peg decided to do a change in casting. While some like Rock Hudson and Jack face some conflict at the party which test their loyalties with the acting biz.

Slower pace
Calicodreamin29 July 2020
The slowest episode so far, didn't do very much to develop the storyline and felt anticlimactic. The main goal seemed to be for the characters to make declarations. The dialogue felt a bit disjointed and 'forced' 40s.

Mishandling "Alternate History"
wma-093632 May 2020
I am hugely disappointed as a Ryan Murphy fan. He has somehow change since he joined Netflix. This show originates from a good idea to do an alternate history of Hollywood with a mixture of real and fictional characters, but the happy-go-lucky story and ending make the show naive and shallow. So I think I will just abandon it for now. The cast and production are good though.

Fora da Lei

Hollywood (2020)

Series

1st Season

Episode Three - Fora da Lei.

Wow, I thought this episode would never end, I like long episodes but this one was really bad.

Jim Parsons looks a lot like ventriloquist dummies, it even looks like someone is pulling some strings while he talks.

Strongly rooting for Castello to win the role and for Jim Parsons' character to swallow his own arrogance and pride.

Wow, I thought this episode would never end, I like long episodes but this one was really bad..

Episode three of the first season of the Hollywood Miniseries watched on May 22, 2024.
