A surprise for sure but a welcome one

Every episode is better than the last one. At first I thought this would be a fun relaxing mocumentary kinda show and but now I see me crying in almost every episode. I think this could be a perfect Show ...and Jason Sudeikis is breathtaking and his portrait of Ted Lasso phenomenal!

Masterpiece

In rare circumstances, a comedy has that one episode that becomes a thoughtful reflection of life. This was it. It was so genuine, so raw. I am not one to tear up easily but I have to admit my eyes became watery. So much packed in 30 min. How are they going to top this episode?

Marriage
dannylee-7808228 October 2021
It's hard to imagine even for a seemingly wonderful man like Ted Lasso struggle with marriage problems. It's also interesting to see Ted struggle in general because the side we've seen about him are super optimistic. It's super sad to see like someone just lose passion and Ted deciding to let go

Richmond tastes its first sweet victory and the fate of Jamie remains uncertain.

Poor Ted
chunkylefunga5 December 2020
Wasn't expecting Ted personal life to be such a shambles.

Show could have done with example what exactly was his wife's problem but at least it was nice to show that Ted's life isn't all rainbows and sunshine.

The best

The best speech I have ever heard.

Not in a sport movie or series, but in everything.

One of the best episodes of TV history
johnc-58 October 2020
This show is the best show of 2020 and one of the best all time. It is one of the biggest surprises in TV history, in fact. But this episode eclipses almost any other episode of TV. It is perfect, sweet, funny, poignant, honest, earnest, and devastating. I cannot recommend this show enough.

Wow Emotional

I'm Very late in starting to watch this show, So far the acting is brilliant it's been cast so well, This this episode was above any so far, I'm a grown ass man and practically at the end i cried like a baby!! You can definitely tell Bill Lawrence is attached to this program because just like scrubs it's one of them shows that can make you laugh so hard one minute and then cry the next....superbly written.

Oh p.s UP THE BLADES.

The Least Selfish of All
Hitchcoc23 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
We have seen so far that Ted's efforts at connection with his wife and child have hit roadblocks along the way. In this episode, they come to visit him. While they are there Ted has to deal over and over with Jamie and his awful attitude. So with the score tied after four losses, he takes him out of the game--his best player but a huge liability. The team wins their first game and celebrate. But then comes the heartache. Ted asks his wife why she is so unhappy. It turns out that she is giving herself up for him. She can't feel good any more; it's not like it was when they began their relationship. So he gives her permission to walk away. It is such a heartbreaking moment.

This episode was just very emotional and funny all at the same exact time. I personally love this episode, even though it wasn't my favorite. Anyways, my favorite characters in this episode were Ted, his son, abd Michelle. My favorite things about this episode were the Protagonist, the pacing, and the ending. This episode had me thinking, "Will Ted ever see them again?". This is because they went across 4,438 miles away from them, so this left the question for me. Even though he is coaching a football/soccer team, I have no idea when he will see them again. Oh well. I guess I will be finding out later on.

side beach: OUT!
parsasadeghizadeh-4022614 October 2021
The wife was cute and all, but we all knew she wouldn't last. My dream is slowly but surely coming true. Redecca is HAPPENING.

Make room for the real beach, Ahhh can't wait for THEE moment when they finally do it

and brw the toilet joke was so funny gawd I loved that. Rebecca is so mean and she's a jerk, but somehow i can't help not to root for her. Well, mainly because i want him and ted to dingle, butyou know, besides that, she's just awesome.

With Ted's family arriving from the USA to spend time with him in London. Ted gets to show his son the sights.

However Ted also recognises that his marriage is over. His wife does not love him anymore.

Ted and Coach Beard also recognise that on the pitch, they need to make tough decisions.

Jamie Tartt might be their best player but he is too selfish. He does not care about the team even when one of their player's is lying injured. That leads to an on pitch bust up between Jamie and Roy Kent.

The episode sees Ted being open about his marriage problems. Even bringing Higgins into his inner circle.

There was a nice moment shared between Ted and Coach Beard about the Ronald Reagan joke from Back to the Future.

Cringe
chrisk031 July 2021
So the wife is introduced, all is well, then from nowhere it's not again. Something about needing space which is not explained beyond Ted's vague sad sack telling of her needing space. Overacted melodrama, cloying direction that ticked off all the boxes, an endless end that compensated I suppose for a script that came in too short. Let's get back to the show please.

Alone with his thoughts
xmasdaybaby196610 June 2023
Still little in the way of humour here but there characters are coming through.

If it was a Hollywood movies then the winning goal would have been the culmination of a heart rendering film but this shows that all is not well in the world of Ted.

Yes, the show is appealing but, for me it is not what it set out to be.

Brits make the best baddies but I am sure many of us are wondering if the two main characters will hit it off or will they get back with their partners.

Knowing there are another 2 series at least to follow then this could be a very slow process.

It is ood but not that brilliant.
