No real storyline development on either cases, making this a bit of a throwaway. Some good bonding moments between Syd and McKenna and a heartfelt backstory.

Episode 2: A better episode with good storyline in an average mode, good flashbacks for Nancy with some unrealistic elements and a better flow.
Some unbearable acting by Syd who thinks she's tough and charismatic, but the truth is far from that. (see the end scene).
