This episode started a bit slow but became probably the funniest so far. Anyone hating on this show should go grow themselves a sense of humor! It's been great so far

The turning of the corner that I felt might have happened last week bears out here with the first episode of "Avenue 5" that I'd describe as being "good".

Having learned that is "crew" is as much of a fraud as he is, Captain Clark (Hugh Laurie) sets about winning over his actual crew, this comes at an important moment in the ships maintenance cycle though. Meanwhile, Herman Judd (Josh Gad) tries to appease the passengers concerns with a host of intimate gatherings in his personal cabin.

So I laughed at this a few times. I feel like a finally a few of the characters are settling into who they are supposed to be. Captain Clark, finally feels amiable and though he knows his limitations, sees that he has a part to play in making sure the ship continues to function. He's the character that I appreciate spending time with and this episode felt the most about him. Only one quick detour back to mission control which wasn't up to much and a couple of scenes with the married couple which again, substitutes shouting for wit.

I write this review on the morning that "Avenue 5" has been picked up for a second season and it's interesting that I feel relatively positive about that, whereas just two episodes ago I was on the cusp of dumping it. There's still room for improvement though.

My brain is going blank on what to write for this episode other than that it was great. The show is getting better episode by episode.

This is getting better and better. First episodes was little painful, this episode was first that will made me to wait for next one.

Still watching because of Hugh Laurie and Lenora Crichlow, desperately hoping it will get better... but it's not and it is still painfully unfunny. Cringe is not funny wft.

Had moderate expectations because the concept is original and has potential but don't know if I can watch any more episode. I reached episode 4 because they are short.

The writing and editing are among the most confuse I can remember. I find myself genuinely lost during dialogues and the story because I can't follow any thread, and besides that, I do not get the jokes or don't think they are funny.

Another week point is the character development. Until episode 4 I don't really care about anyone and don't know what's they role in the plot. Sometimes kinda fits in the story but it's hard to connect with viewers either.

Of course it can be my problem, but it's a rare case where I don't even think "it's so bad that's good".
