The most important thing we learned in the screenwriting about the Sympathy of the protagonist, should connect with the audience and it impacts in the mental stability of the audience, but in this movie Protagonist is Confident enough to solve the case or you can say Overconfidence. It doesn't create the tension to catch the criminal, he called himself intelligent so why he is taking so long to solve the mystery behind the case. As protagonist suffers fear from the dark, he is suffering guilt from the past still didn't create the sympathy, they should watch Memories before writing the character.

When you write such kind of stories it must involve series of murders and not the single one, cause most movies falls in this categories have much more impact and still it is difficult to forgot. Say RATSASAN has a great impact where ANJAM PATHIRA comes and gain the audience attention and turn everyone done when FORENSIC came.

BGM is simple and not chilling it seems like they are playing and make the movie, some scenes are like they are randomly jumping.

Plot is very good but it fails.

The film initially progresses as an interrogation drama just like the western web shows and it was quite interesting with multiple characters narrating their side of the story about the conflict between the murdered girl and her live-in partner. The twists and turns are also unpredictable.

The film has a few simple but clever scenes. For instance, when three people connected to the victim are brought in for questioning, each narrate the same incident differently. It is a classic ploy used to add intrigue in murder-mysteries. And though it is used widely, it still flawlessly serves its purpose every single time.

Overall, V1 murder case looks good on paper. Good movie.

An intelligent forensic officer Agni starts investigating a murder, but he faces a slew of challenges as he suffers from nyctophobia. Will he be able to solve the case?

The film begins with the murder of a girl who was in a live-in relationship. The investigation, led by Ram Arun Castro (Agni) and Vishnu Priya (Luna), begins with her partner and another roadside Romeo who was after her.

With some decently written scenes and performances by the lead, the story manages to engage us in the first half.

However, the latter half goes impeded as the logic goes haywire and the plot takes unnecessary diversions. Few scenes make us test our patience like the role of Avinash and his confessions. The crucial climax scene, where the killer and his reason for murder are established, lacks conviction because of the weak performance of the killer.

The two positive aspects of the movie are the absence of songs (God's grace) and the presence of a strong female lead with whom the protagonist Agni doesn't have any romantic track. Ram Arun and Vishnu Priya are apt in their respective roles.

The principal challenge while writing a whodunit is to maintain the suspense element until the end with zero compromises on logical loopholes. There have been films made in the genre which started off promisingly but failed to hold the attention as the sequences which unfold in the latter half couldn't match the initial portions.

V1 Murder Case, which features comparatively new faces, is the latest to join the list of such attempts.

The story starts with a murder scene and goes into whodunit investigation story. The plot is quite good and well conceived but the execution was poor. The night shots were bad, and there is no rain though there are multiple times where it was said, and sometimes goes over the board like identification of the person from a glass piece!?! :O

It also gives the final surprise moment at the end. Hope for a better output from this team next time!!

Best movie with good message to the society. Suspense till ending.

It's a fantastic & brilliant script and the screenplay 👌👌👌. A must watch movie for students who are taken the forensic course. Director has put lots of hardwork in forensic related things. I really enjoyed the movie. My best wishes to the director and the entire team 💐💐💐🤝🤝

I still have bo idea so many people over bere complained about the acting. Tbis is a small budget movie. How can you expect perfection from beginners. I really limed the story and the way they portrayed. Actors are not bad as you thing. This movie is way better than big starts movie. Instead of complaining abput this young artist, please fix the other people you guys think worthed it.

I usually read revkes and watch movies. Because i dont like wasted for poor movies. This movie is worthed for my time. Give a shot guys

A perfectly engaged thriller that has brought social message without hurting others feeling.

Best executed occurrence. It cannot be done better.

A crime with some twist...not as much expected..had some drawbacks. But atlast it suited well in the screen..actors were good and they played a good role..doesnt seem as their 1st movie

The protogonist is new cast even he did his good job and other casting also perfect...but i feel just one time watchable movie as well as predictable climax...we cant compare other investigating movie like dhruvangal 16...just watch with no expecrations then it will surprise u...!!!

Movie was engaging up to interval then goes south post-interval. Amateurish making and acting lets down the movie big time.

Fabulous to watch. Last movie of the year for me at Kaasi theatre. Background score was amazing. Could see people are watching it as family. Can't predict the culprit until climax. Story narration was awesome and kept secret till last.

Socially committed movie. They have wonderfully used a thriller story to address a social issue. At the end it all comes to a relevant issue in the Indian society. This is what all the film makers should do with their cinema, they should use the social issues so as to transform this to a better society.

What in the world did I watch? Horrible acting, screenplay, and worst of all story. It didn't make any sense. The plot jumped to different subjects like nyctophobia, forensics, trauma, and then jumped to honour killings, like this doesn't make any sense at all. Wasted 2 hrs of my life over this movie.

V1 is good thriller movie, first time in tamil cinema you can watch a movie with out any cellphone distribution. Movie is got NON SONGS, NO GROUP DANCE WITH MANY PEOPLE, NO VIOLENCE, NO VULGAR VISUALS, NO NON SENSE AT ALL. Crime story with curiosity till the end. You cant predict the murder till they reveal. Very intresting, forensic is not only just finger prints and stuff. Its beyond that the team collectes and studied and lot of home work done to use those inputs in v1.

I use to watch more Hollywood movie, i can see the Hollywood thriller style. Particularly a movie called VINTAGE POINT that also have the concept like one incident when you try to find out how? Then multiple option of view they show in that movie. Its similar thriller in Tamil V1. All are new and V1 is a the first movie for them .its superb screen play you never get bored in entire movie. Hats off to director and team. The final touch social. Message is so good. This movie you can watch with family and even kids can watch V1 thriller crime story. Fantastic all the very best.

V1 tried their level best to portray the reality of the honor killing and caste based discrimination in the Indian Society. I felt that this message was too rushed in the movie and a prelude was not provided in the previous scenes. The movie could have also worked on its bgm as it makes a good suspense thriller movie and the bgm is too weak and mellow in nature. The main storyline is to an extend shodly written with no focus given to one aspect and touches on many aspects at the same time like a kichidi or upma. The main characters in the movie are also not introduced well in the movie as I wanted to know more about their intentions especially the killers.

Overall an average atempt at highlighting an important issue but with a shoddy storyline lacking soul.

Went for Murder mystery genre, but hugely disappointed. Cons: Acting was big curse to the movie. Movie went like a drama (screenplay issues) Direction and camera was pathetic. Plot with cliche, unwanted subplots, predicable content etc. Pros: Message is good, but badly executed.

A decent film produced and directed at low production cost ! . The performance of the leading actors in the film was excellent but if it was a "crime thriller" genre they would have a " color palette " of their own. It would have been even better if a " color " flow had been created for this film as well. Without these, the scenes ( footages ) would look like they were edited without the slightest " DI ". If it was created with the intention of making it this way, this is enough.

The movie is engaging since the beginning and the director had succeeded in ensuring that we remain clueless at least till the end. The mannerism of lead actor (Ram Arun CASTRO) to some extent is convincing in line with the plot as portrayed. Director intelligently and openly hides the clue to the viewers throughout the movie. Just watch out for the portraits and names of the private institutions shown in the movie. The movie being a crime thriller, the final lecture to the culprit seems unwarranted, after all upon completion of an investigation, the police will be busy with other case and not so bothered in giving lecture to a criminal. There are few flaws too, for instance, the lead actress or PA to the head of the department, all seem to be Malayalese in TN police, after all the lead actress is not an IPS officer. Through out the movie nobody seems to be afraid of the police during inquiries or investigation and most of the seem to be rude. In real life the opposite is true. Secondly the family directly comes to forensic department HQ and not to DGP or Commissioner office and the entire investigation seem to be taken care by forensic department which in real case is also not true. Above all a officer in the beginning of the movie saying that he wont take case, is in fact funny? Then why is he paid? Just forget the flaws, lectures and logics and watch it just for the screenplay. Note: I watched in Amazon Prime during Lock Down. So this too would have impacted my rating and review.

A well made thriller film which will make you keep guessing from start to end. A single incident has showed so many times in different perspectives. V1 team should be appreciated for having important social issues like child abuse & cast violence as its base. Only negative thing I have noticed is the performances of few artists in the cast. the weak performances affecting the engagement factor. Overall, V1 is a well made investigation thriller movie delivered by a new team.
