Still standing, but not as tall....

I've come to like these characters so much over the years that even with the new season being a shadow of this show's glory days, it still manages to keep me interested and invested in seeing their fate till the end.

I just hope we'll see Fiona one more time, even if it's for a goodbye cameo....

I agree with the person who said why incorporate COVID into this ? This used to be the greatest show, has gone downhill every since Fiona left, that is just the absolute truth, they should have fought to keep her. Used to be so funny and good storylines, now it is just gross and not funny. Hope it gets better for the end.

This could have been the series finale and I bet no one would have noticed. I have watch this show since the start so I get it that things are different this season with the pandemic. They are doing the best with what they got but just like the last season of True Blood let's hurry up and just get it over with.

The gallagher kids' ages are sooo inconsistent throughout the series and it really annoys me. I love the show, but i can't help but notice this. Debbie is supposed to be 20-21 in this season, because if i remember correctly, she was about 10 in the first season and a year passes with every season. However, she says she's only 10 months older than julia, who's 17. So she's saying she's 18. Then carl says he's 19 almost 20, but he's supposed to be a year younger than debbie. The writers have gotten so lazy.

Well, we didn't get as many bad pandemic jokes as we could have, but I like shows that ignore this. I don't want to see Shameless obsess over this in its final season.

Most of the reviews for this episode complain about the fact that this one is too political as COVID is being discussed. Eeh, COVID is being discussed as a satire. Everything that is discussed around this subject is approached in the form of satire. In fact, every (supposedly political) topic ever dealt within the series is approached from the satirical point of view. Why? Because the series is a comedy. A look at a family that is living on the fringes of society, a family with its own morals, its own ethics, but with a heart for each other. Funny that this is not seen by everyone.

Was it a right decision to include COVID in the Shameless world. Yes. Were the jokes around COVID funny. No. I can't explain that well, maybe it was still too early.

This show has gone downhill for a while now

This episode was meh. Nothing really happened, just a string of your usual "Shameless" intertwined storylines, but even less interesting this go around than previous seasons. I think we can all agree the show has gone downhill for a couple seasons now, but it doesn't look like we're gonna at least be finishing on a high note. Though I'm sure covid had a lot to do with things, this could still be better. Also, I just really miss Fiona.

It was alright.

I didn't find it as bad as everyone's saying. But it wasn't so great either. COVID angle doesn't add much to the story. Some scenes were funny. Some scenes were boring. But after 10 seasons I'm okay with watching anything they do. I wish they mentioned Fiona sometimes. It's not like she died.

I've been watching Shameless from the beginning. This episode was probably the worst I've seen. Without giving anything away, there were parts that were just implausible, but mostly it was just tired writing. Yea, yuppies suck, yuppy coffee is expensive, the neighborhood just isn't the same. Yawn.

Really hope this is not a sign of what's to come for season 11. Won't give up on the rest of the season yet. But if the rest are like this, I'll bail.

I don't know why they decided to incorporate Covid into this but they did a terrible job. Like the occasional and intermittent masks and references to current events but not really effecting the storyline but also kind of does.. It was somehow simultaneously in the forefront but also ignored- it was just really weird. I liked it better early on where the show was more of an escape and didn't address politics and current events. And I have NO IDEA what the writers are doing with Tommy and Kermit at the end.. That was just a really disturbing scene.

Any other show would get a slight pass, but this is just embarrassing.Shameless was groundbreaking in the early seasons, amazing drama, brilliant black comedy, and incredible tense moments.This? Season 1 would beat this season up, steal it's lunch money, and dunk it's head in the toilet. I know it's early, but I think we're in for an extremely underwhelming season.

This looks like documentary now, only social problems of nowdays world and local problems of Chicago the show isn't funny anymore. And why ffs you bring Covid to the show we are sick of Corona in everyway i don't need it in the show.

I WAS a huge fan. The writers definitely went overboard on making sure they cover all of the latest social issues and forgot to be funny. It's a shame.

This show is a complete mess now, what happened to the old shameless??? now its just a cash grab at this point, the older seasons had so much more depth to them.. and this show going complete comedy was an incredible dumb idea ...

I love how this show went from saying the "r" word and the derogatory "d" word for a lesbian, but now they are PC. Gotta love cancel culture! Too bad. This show was really good.

Just like any other good series the writers somehow know just how to screw up a good thing in the last season! Think I'll call it good and pretend the end of season 10 was the final. This show is just like Chicago.....it should get out of its own way and just sink to the bottom of lake MI already.

This is by far the worst episode thought the history of SHAMELESS. Feels rushed with zero purpose, way too scattered and just overall a boring episode. Hopefully it'll be better next week.

Not the old Shameless

First of all, I agree with many of the other reviews on here that this show has too many politically motivated storylines, and definitely isn't anything like the old Shameless. That being said, I didn't hate this episode. It was perfectly mediocre. The one thing I actually really enjoyed about this episode was the little homage to the very first episode at the end, with Frank's voiceover about all of the kids.

Wow, what a pile of political crap this show has turned into. Debbie has to be the most hated character I have ever seen on any show and she keeps getting worse. Damn, I miss Emmy Rossum and season 1 when the show was actually about people instead of political ideologies.

Oh hey, did you know there was a pandemic? Are you not afraid enough? Let's beat you over the head with it for your entertainment. Oh also, all cops are stupid, and it's totally necessary for Micky and Ian to talk about their 5x buttsex marathon, and how Micky's butthole is burning. Oh and also, all poor people are stupid. Oh and also I guess eating edibles will make you do gay stuff in the bathroom with your longtime friend. The end. This show used to be SOOOO good.

This show used to be great. Awesome storylines and entertaining. Now, it's just become some bs propaganda show. Last two seasons were bad but now it's just terrible. Pushing covid nonsense that has zero to do with the storyline. Do they have any creativity anymore?
