Probably the worst season
Brother-Blood15 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
This review is mostly for the entire season, not just this episode. In fact I believe this episode was the best one. With all those fight scenes and reunion and betrayals. But that does not clean the slate. First we had bloodwork, then it was Barry Allen obtaining his full potential by the hands of Specter; Which turned out to be just a bluff, after that it was Black Hole, annnnnd then there is Eva. I mean this season is ALL OVER THE PLACE. They don't even know what they are doing anymore. Jumping from one branch to another. And anytime they run out of ideas on how to make a good show, they bring Thawne back! Come on, stop doing it. bring him back properly, or don't. The Flash lost it touch after season 3 but I kept hoping for a redemption and comeback, but nothing happened; it's like each season gets worse. I couldn't care less about the show, and I don't think I'm gonna watch the next seasons (are they really want to make 10 seasons like this??) although I started as a big fan, but look what they made me do! p.s: what I said wouldn't even change if they had the chance to make the finale they wanted; in fact, one user said they wanted to have a Thawne cliffhanger! Which would only prove what I just said. -we have no idea. what to do? -umm. Tom, are you there? go put on that yellow suit!

Eva McCulloch vs Carver
JasonSterling2914 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
How on earth is Eva the villain in this story? I get that Carver is a villain too but besides 3 kidnappings and a murder, Eva isn't close to the evil of Carver.

If not the finale than would have been an excellent one.
Typewriter160113 May 2020
It is like we are left with so much not resolved. This episode lacks Cisco but plus point is that Allegra is finally listening to Nash. The fight was good but than it too lacks flash. The cliffhanger is a good one to go to the next season.

I think that iris is kidnapped or vanished or whatever by Eva.

What about Iris? What about Sue Dearborn?
damian-ray126 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Iris: How could Barry not know that something was wrong with Iris right away? Her personality changes instantly after coming back and that doesn't raise any red flags for him? Suddenly she becomes arrogant, reckless, even mean to Barry and he never tries to find out what happened to her? Obviously she is a different person and something was wrong with her. How come it took him so long to figure it out?

SPOILER ALERT: Sue Dearborn: I read somewhere that Sue Dearborn would become Ralph Digby's future Love Interest/Future Wife. Will this happen in season 7 or 8? Sadly, it appears that Ralph likely won't have anymore appearances on the show as the actor who played him was fired for posting "offensive tweets". Will the Ralph/Sue story continue without Ralph being onscreen? Will Ralph be in season 7 of the show?

Oh...my...god... This was definitely the best episode of the season! It was sooo good! There were so many shocking moments that this actually somehow worked as a season finale! I can't wait for next season 😭

Really good finale
elwinpjohn13 May 2020
Considering the current situation in the world the flash team made a really good finale, I enjoyed watching the episode and it was very different compared to the others.....

Worked as a finale
jelanielove16 September 2020
You'd never think this wasn't the planned season finale. It ended at a spot that makes me even more anxious for season seven. So well done and well acted. I dont care what others think. This show keeps getting better. I find myself more invested than season one and two and I loved those seasons so much. Can't wait for this show to be able to come back so we can see the conclusion of this plot.

Not the proper finale, but still a great episode.
roxyaka13 May 2020
This episode was great and if the season finished properly, then this season would've been better. It's just too bad that it didn't finish the right way.

Disappointing and ridiculous
natbro9613 May 2020
What a ridiculous episode this was. The effects and stunts looked like something from the 70's, cheap and nasty. The acting was terrible especially in the fight scene it was just pathetic. Where did they find the actors for that? Disappointing end to a mediocre series. Hopefully next season it will be back on track and how it used to be. Writers need to get back to how it used to be and not this ridiculous flop it's become.

2nd Best Possible Conclusion
KookShanty13 May 2020
Of course this isn't the most satisfying finale but it actually worked quite well, as many arcs were closed. The episode itself was also great, what a cool fight scene! Nash was MVP tonight, and the climax was incredibly intense. My only issue was that the cliffhanger was a little lame, but that's probably because the cliffhanger was designed for only a week break, as opposed to a 5-10 month break.

Success wasn't assured after all
notar0b0t13 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Let's start with the showdown at McCulloch Technologies. The way it was edited made it look really cheap and boring. It looked like someone had gotten a new editing program and was just figuring out how it worked. I like Ralph, and I don't dislike Sue, but I just don't see them getting together, they lack romantic chemistry. Yeah, so there was a lot I didn't like in this episode, but the Caitlin/Barry moment at the end wasn't one of them: they have great chemistry and I wish the show would use this duo more; it has great potential, whether in a platonic or romantic fashion. No real spoilers in my review but I'll check the box anyway to be safe.

Everything considering, a good finale of a decent season
berndschuller13 May 2020
This episode was a good makeshift finale, "thanks" to Covid-19 the season was cut short. It had good action, good character interactions and a great cliffhanger (with some Infinity War vibes IMO). Last not least, I loved the Barry / Caitlin / Frost scenes with Mama Snow, those are always a highlight.

Not feeling it.
saveedali13 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I'm reviewing this episode like any other episode but not as a season finale (as it wasn't intended as that originally) This episode was the better then the last few ones but still not there yet. I really enjoyed the fight sequence between Black Hole and Team Flash, and the conflict in Barry but other then that the episode wasn't that special.

Those Caitlyn/Frost scenes are really quite unnecessary considering they have nothing to do with the storyline. They really could've replaced those scenes with Cisco's travels to Atlantis because that is something the fans would really enjoy (because we have seen so little of him this season).

The Sue character isn't developed as it should be. Her change of heart to join Ralph in fighting black hole is not convincing enough, because Ralph's speech apparently didn't convince her to stop, so her returning was basically out of character.

I don't understand how much speed, Barry has left? A while ago we were told that he only has a short supply and with that he ran half the city against Godspeed, fought against Mirror Iris and fought Rag Doll but still he isn't drained off his speed yet.

Team Flash isn't working either for me. They have expanded it so much aa there are about 10-20 members which will definitely create plot-holes i.e. where has Chester been since the Grodd Episode? He supposedly joined Team Flash but is nowhere to been seen.

This season was just poorly executed. Hopefully Season 7 will not repeat the same mistakes

The Final Showdown
RahulM00713 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
While not the finale that was supposed to air, this episode still wrapped up some loose ends and had one amazing final battle sequence. The final battle lasted a full 10 minutes and was truly utter mayhem and the highlight of the episode. It saw the heroes battling it out with the previous villains. I loved the shot when Sue swooped in to save Elongated Man. That was truly a badass sequence. Speaking of Sue and Ralph, their relationship blossomed and evolved. Every scene Natalie Dreyfuss and Hartley Sawyer have together, comes out naturally. I am quite intrigued to see how they will prove Sue's innocence.

The absence of Cisco was quite noticeable in this episode. Will he be replaced by Chester P. Runk in season 7? All the signs point to Cisco leaving the show for good.

The father-daughter dynamic between Nash and Allegra was quite palpable during the episode. It is always a joy seeing Nash care for Allegra. The scene these characters shared at the end was both touching and endearing.

The only minor complaint I had with the episode was how Killer Frost's storyline was handled. Her storyline could have had more depth to it. However, I praise the writers for still giving Killer Frost a proper storyline and season ending, even though the actress Danielle Panabaker is pregnant. This storyline dragged down the episode, as it did not have to be there. Nevertheless, I have to say that it was particularly sweet how Killer Frost and her mother bonded briefly.

In true Flash fashion, this episode had a huge cliffhanger. Iris's neural dissonance has gotten worse and forced her to transform into a bunch of glass shards. This made her lose control over her own body and abruptly vanishes. Where did she vanish to?

To conclude, this episode worked perfectly as the season finale. Of course, I would have preferred that Eva McCulloch aka Mirror Mistress was defeated. This episode could have been a tad better by teasing how the new speed force is created. Alas, there is always next season. Hopefully, the last three episodes of season 6 will appear in season 7. Overall, season 6 was another stellar season of the Flash. In my opinion, the first half far outweighs the second half. The Mirror Master/Mistress storyline felt dragged out and boring at times. Fortunately, the finale was a success and entertained me from beginning to the end. Cannot wait for next season to see how Iris escapes the Mirrorverse once and for all.

Final verdict: 9.1/10

Season 6 of The Flash left fans on a huge cliffhanger. . .
breathedirt16 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
. . .and the cliffhanger is - will The Flash ever be watchable again? The Flash has become a show where the majority of screen time is devoted to women just because they are women and not because they add something interesting to the story or because they are really good actresses. It has become an unwatchable garbage used to communicate demented personal beliefs to brainwash today's teenage girls. I bet there will be The Flashette very soon (which almost sounds like The Fourchette) or The She-Flash.

Fantastic Warning: Spoilers
For me this was a fantastic finale specially when it was never meant to be the finale. Only one thing that still worries me is the amount of episodes Cisco is missing :( definitely my favourite character and I hope there is a reason for the absence and not the actor leaving the show

Why are people hung up on Nash?
sophiejensen-130632 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Nash Wells is not wearing anyhting to hide his face in a police station full of cops. But the original Harrison Wells was a confessed murderer for killing Barry's mother. Barry himself is standing next to Nash perfectly at ease. If this was the man who killed his mother, he'd have his hand around the guy's throat. Also, he has a Wells face. But everything else about him screams Indiana Jones, not an academic in the first place. And certainly not a guy in a wheelchair who accidently blew a hole in Central City years ago.

Another cool thing in the episode is Nash doing his second best if not his absolute best channeling of Harry Wells. Getting a rise out of Barry to get him to stop feeling sorry for himself a couple of episodes ago/trying to get him forgive himself. And Nash is a channel for Harry in a way because he has Harry and Sherloque in his head literally telling him they are shocked Allen is even considering the deal fake-Singh offered. Nash is then able to give Barry some much needed perspective on what the result would be if he DID take the deal. Even if it was for absolutely PERFECT reasons, it wouldn't have worked out like he planned. "I understand where you're coming from. But if you go *this* far to bring her back, Iris won't forgive you. And you will have gained nothing." Only Harry Wells and Oliver were this much of a mentor to him, on equal footing. And now with Harry in his ear, Nash can be that.

Iris still has no point in this tv show
magdi_iovi20 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Speaking in general, not just this episode, I'm still watchin the show just for the Flash, Caitlin/Frost, Cisco and Ralph, I also enjoy Cecile, though shouldn't she be doing DA stuff? instead of being at star labs all day long? the rest of the cast is all over the place, but Iris should stick with being just a reporter, also, I don't see much chemistry between her and the Flash, and did she get a second degree in science while being a reporter?? what does she do leading team flash, reading complicated screens, seriously? hopefully she disappears for good this time A relationship I am liking is Ralph and Sue, now that's chemistry. the fighting scene between black hole and the 3 meta women was meant to be charlie's angels style or was that a mistake? I also agree with some other comments about how much speed does Barry really have left? or is it iPhone battery style? 1% can go a long way. anyway, a half good show is better than no show I guess, as long as mediocre keeps u satisfied

Apart from Crisis, this season is a write-off.
hasansevik23 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Not feeling it with The Flash anymore. I've been a massive Flash (and, to a larger extent, Batman) fan since I was 6 reading comics. And this TV show has done well, despite having a few naff episodes here and there. Season 6 is just a waste. They may use excuses like Covid-19 or whatever, but honestly, bad writing is bad writing. Iris being trapped in the Mirrorverse turned the show into The Iris Show. Cisco is clearly leaving Team Flash (that, or he just doesn't want to be there anymore). Caitlin is pregnant but no, she's not, she's got some Frost-flu (because that's a thing apparently). Wells is 15 versions of Wells in one. Oh, and let's throw in some images and dreams of Zoom, Reverse Flash, have a random fight with a fake Godspeed, and turn Barry Allen into a brooding Bruce Wayne every single friggin episode. About this episode specifically. The split screen shots were terribly distracting. The massive character leaps were badly rushed (I know they had to rush, but they really didn't have to - this is not a race, they could have continued with the same theme until next season). And, as has been the case all season, The Flash is barely present in The Flash. How would people feel if Supergirl had an entire session focused on a male character instead of her? Or the same with Stargirl? Why don't we make a Black Lightning season cover a white male that's got nothing to do with Black Lightning's powers? Or how about Wonder Woman 1984 focus on Chris Pine's character? That way DC can finally show everyone that, while the comics are incredible, the TV and movie adaptations aren't what you'd expect, think or even want to watch.

A weak finale for a weak season.
EddyTheMartian00713 May 2020
Warning: Spoilers
We all know this wasn't meant to be the finale because of what is happening around the world at the moment. It's unfortunate but this is what we got and it only resolved one character arc, with Caitlin, and that's it. Unfortunately despite the circumstances I have to judge this as the finale because it is. I won't be so harsh on loose plot thread, but I'll still judge it for what it is. Surprisingly enough despite not being a proper finale, it is still better than Season 4's finale, and maybe Season 5's too. I've already mentioned how this episode barely resolved any plot lines. The only thing that really happened was Eva getting out of the mirror dimension, killing Carver, Iris gets powers, and Joe is back. Joe leaving and that being the focus for an entire episode feels like a waste of time. This mirror storyline even though it's only for half a season has majorly overstayed its welcome. The storyline is ludicrous and nonsensical. There are so many plot holes it's insane. I really like how Eva suddenly gets a buster gun straight out off megamind because apparently that's her power. The flash gets impailed by multiple glass shards, and one even goes entirely through him, but Carver gets him by one and dies like nothing. I know he has speed healing, but not during these circumstances where he's running out of speed. The big action scene was pretty good for this season, but still unimpressive in normal standards despite their "cool" edits. It wasn't particularly done well, and it felt hard to follow. There's still dumb moments like everything with Sue Dearbon character who flip flops personality every other scene, and I still have no idea what they're trying to do with her. She always outsmarts Dibny in the stupidest ways, it really cheapens his character. Despite Frost being the only one getting closure I couldn't care less because her entire storyline was focused on not showing Danielle Panabaker's baby bump (Congrats to her! It's not her fault the writing on this show has been garbage.) Nash and Allegra get the award for most useless characters with the most redundant scenes. I know Nash was used for Crisis, but honestly he was not necessary at all. By the way I love how Nash has some sort of smoke Bomb that teleports everyone to a specific location. Seems like Cisco losing his powers wasn't a big deal at all. Overall this was just an average episode of this season. Nonsensical, dumb, dull, with a few good moments sprinkled throughout. Unfortunately while being an improvement from seasons 4 plus 5, and having started well, the second half was the show's worst, making it enough for the entire season to be bad overall for me, especially with all these loose ends.

Not the Intended Finale!
Authoric10 October 2020
Don't believe anyone who says this was a rubbish finale - technically this isn't even the finale! There was meant to be 3 more episodes of season six, but due to COVID-19, it was cut-off, and will be resumed at the beginning of season 7.

Even though this wasn't the intended finale, it still worked, as it had a big story to it with a big battle against the season antagonist: Mirror Master.
