This is one of four documentaries included on the bonus disk for the DVD release of "Dr. Strangelove". This featurette focuses on the career of Peter Sellers--with a particular emphasis on on his work on "Dr. Strangelove". It consists of many interviews and film clips. Unfortunately, it could not have interviews with Sellers, as he died rather young of a heart attack more than two decades earlier.
While I enjoyed this film, I found it lacking--mostly because I am more than a casual fan of the films of Sellers. Having seen lengthier documentaries, having watched the made for HBO docu-drama on his life and watching just about all his available films, I wanted perhaps too much from the film. It focused exclusively on Sellers' work--and not at all on his personality or life. Plus, even as a filmography, it was short--and TONS of great Sellers films were never mentioned. As a result, it's a great look at Sellers for the casual or uninitiated viewer and not much more.
