Never ever a quality web series has been made in Bangladesh till "August 14". An splendid work from the director along with some quality actors who are actually not that much well known here. Amazing thrills, heart touching ending, and after all an absolute message have been imposed by this series.
Hope to see more quality series in Bangladesh in coming days!

A beautifully produced craft which takes the audience on a thriller ride inspired by a true story. The direction, acting and cinematography are superb. An unique production with style which is one of a kind in recent Bangladeshi cinema.

I just love it! An amazing execution. Everyone should watch this Bangladeshi web series. The cast is amazing. The way Shihab Shaheen is portrayed, how she evolved, how their destinies are intervened, is something worth watching.

While Bangladeshi people gets rare chances to enjoy a quality series/drama these days and 'August 14' is a positive sign towards quality, it lacks the X-Factor. These days people has access to world class shows on their fingertip. Netflix, Amazon, Huli, etc., are making it possible. So, you have to come up with shows worth of 100/100. Less than that and it's a failure.
'August 14' started with a positive note. A 'message' is present in the story. It brings some kind of thrill. But lacks several factors. The story telling is poor. By the end of first episode I knew what's going to happen. Final results were predictable. Due to lack of background stories I failed to connect with the main characters. I mean think about it - you don't know about the parents, their mentality, their love towards children.... How can you connect with them. Suddenly you've shown that they are busy with their work and ignored their children. Thus, it felt like they deserved it to some extent.
Initial story telling was a buzz kill. That's why the final suspects were never really suspects to me. The story should have started with the kids on the road, not how they got out from their house. At least then there could be a place for questions like - were there anyone else on the house?, this question could have made it interesting. Or the creators could have shown that someone was walking on the road that night. Then we would have been forced to think about other possibilities....
Nevertheless, happy to see that quality actors got chance to showcase their performance. And hopefully, creators will keep making shows like this and it will come near to perfection someday.

This web series is based on true incident. In 2013, a drug addict girl named Oishi brutally murdered her mother and father. Direct Shihab Shaheen made a masterpiece. But the thing I mostly enjoyed is Tasnuva Tisha's acting. She was mind blowing throughout the episodes. Must watch.

The only thing shown is real, the helpless POLICE. In case you are thinking that this is one of the best TV series Bangladesh ever produced, you better try the Eid drama series by Mosharraf Karim made around 2015/16.

This series is obviously the best thriller and suspense genre king in Bengali watching community.
The acting of Tasnuva Tisha and Shatabdi Wadud has popped our eyes several times. Though based on true incidents, the story never falls behind to create suspense through scenes of drama, violence and interrogation.
I would love to see Tasnuva Tisha regular in web series. And thanks to the director too for making such a great show.

The story is based on a real life event of a teenager girl who gruesomly murdered her own parents on August 14, 2013, the incident which shook the entire nation to the core. The direction, casting, story telling, execution, background music - everything was on point. August 14 gives a subtle message to it's audience : to take care of the kids and their deteriorating mental health. The actor, Tasnuva Tisha did a tremendous job and played the role Tushi amazingly well. She takes you to Tushi's twisted world and will make you watch her journey in one sitting. The world needs to see more brilliant work like these. Much credit goes to the director Shihab Shaheen. Absolutely a masterpiece!

The series is made based on a real story. From acting to direction to cinematography, everything was perfect. You should give it a watch. Tasnuva Tisha's acting simply blew my mind. Shihab Shaheen did an awesome job as a director. Kudos to everyone who did their roles very smartly and came up with this outstanding piece.

As a fan of crime thriller genre, I could say this is a good work. The story is known by everyone in Bangladesh as the plot is a real life police case but the Director made it quite possible for us to imagine how a criminal mind works before commiting any heinous act and why? The tension regarding the killer rise among the viewers during every episodes are truly fantastic. The D.O.P is generous and obviously the direction of Shahin and acting of tasnuva is very attractive. I definitely recommend to watch this thriller to all the crime genre lover. We also expect more exciting and good content from binge in the future.

Story telling, Language of DB officers, overacting of the actors made it a poor quality product. This series was very slow and not worth of good one. If you think about killing your valuable time, it would be worth and otherwise not. Disappointing...

The story of a bloodshed, not just regular one but rather a twisted and intriguing one that moves the whole nation once. Its the story of a girl gone rogue, a family gone destroyed and a value gone dead.
Director has done pretty amazing job here. The story built ups, shocks and twists, all were there. And the lead actress, she just nailed it, i can not think of a better portrayal of this character other than the one she showcased. She made us believe her actions. Other characters were beautiful as well. Cinematography was good too. Overall, its the best work of this genre so far in Banglades, hats off to everyone behind the production.
I would suggest it anyday to anybody and i think you people should watch it.
