Maybe, the only significant part of this WWII, made by a Chinese director , is the twist. The performances are decent, the story, a story of survive , rules not bad, few scenes are little forced and the end reminds more a dark comedy.
A young german soldier discovers be surrounded by the corpses of his comrades. After his help for a mate is obvious useful, he runs for survive. An American sanitary discovers it and, after the first help for a womb, he treats the enemy as...enemy. The last saves his life but the intention to survive imposed a radical measure.
But the things are far to be so easy and the end creats the nice idea of bad luck.
So, just decent.
