This was actually a thoroughly good episode. I admit I've been pretty disappointed this season with the lack of comedy and excessive politics. This was a much needed well-written episode. The Boyle's are always hilarious to watch and I absolutely love the rain scene. This is an episode worth watching.

Amazing! This was one of the best episodes of the entire show in my opinion. It was absolutely hilarious, definitely one of the funniest episodes of the show. The Boyle cousins, and the way they act is hilarious. It is some of the best character writing I have ever seen on a sitcom. It is so dumb and funny, it is perfect. The thing I really liked about this episode was that it was basically a remake of "Knives Out" (2019) Jake even did the Benoit Blanc accent. The murder mystery aspect of this episode was also very cool, and a nice unique twist to a Brooklyn Nine-Nine episode.
This episode was amazing, I can't wait for the next one!

This episode of the Boyle cousins is reallly good. From top to bottom it was just good. The misdirection with the whole rat thing and it was clearly the rats because they were referenced so much but we were misdirected to believe that it was one of the boyles.
What about Gina?!

This episode was ok. Besides the green hand of pappy that wasn't edited out, there is one thing no one noticed somehow. How is there a 100 year sour dough starter, if Gina got it when grandma Boyle died and she burnt it. The only sour dough starter they should ha e is the one Gina made them seasons ago. If you are going to write in something make sure it wasn't already used, and if it was already used make sure you keep to that story line.
Finally a proper episode!

Magic realism

After finishing this episode, I felt something is finally filled up, something that is shown constantly by my personal favorite sitcom HIMYM. And that is magic realism. Unlike HIMYM, which frequently uses supernatural/unscientific events, Brooklyn 99 had always been truth/logic oriented. But by depicting Charles, my favorite character, opening the mysterious jar of grandma's dough, the lost element is finally perfectly fitted in this great comedy. I really screamed in joy when the jar is open by Charles, a man with lousy deal out of life yet never lose himself.
BTW I really wish this isn't the last season.

Boyle hug

Warning: Spoilers
We're reading the end of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, co-created by Michael Schur, who also created The Good Place. Anyway, here we are, and this is a Charles Boyle episode and we meet his family who all like to hug and so on, with their cousin-on-cousin rivalry and the like. Lots of fun, with references to Knives Out by Rian Johnson, which by the way I recorded a couple of years ago and I have to get around to watching.
Christopher Gehrman played Sam Boyle, Gregg Binkley played Lyndon Boyle, Caleb Alexander Smith was Andrea Boyle, Hal Alpert was Pappy Boyle, Nicole Ghastin played Mel Boyle, Galen Howard was Tommy Boyle, Frederick Koehler was Becca Boyle.
I would have loved Lara Flynn Boyle to appear in this episode as a Boyle.
