Some lingering emotions from S1 are seamlessly brought up in this episode. Good acting and chemistry. Storyline is developing well. Love the dark cinematography.

OMG Can't Stand Characters That Act Irrationally
scocasso6 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I see this in so many UK tv shows, especially police investigation shows, where witnesses or other people with information that would help the police investigation evade the police for no reason, tell the police they know nothing for no reason. Etc. Such as in this episode, the main witness constantly lies about what she saw or didn't see, evades the investigator, etc. It's completely stupid and makes no sense at all. She works under the table at the restaurant is NOT a valid reason. She's an illegal immigrant, maybe a small teeny tiny reason, but still not valid, because murder investigators don't care about anyone's immigration or visa etc. Status. I just want to jump into the scene and beat the information out of characters such as this. Do these kinds of people actually exist in real life? If so, how is it that in UK tv shows nearly EVERY character is either fully or partially like this? It's ridiculously very bad writing. At least use your brain and creativity and come up with something that's actually remotely plausible, but hey, it's tough being a uk series writer, because they have to come up with a lame excuse for lying to and evading police for each and every person in the town. It must be exhausting.

Why the Distrust?
Hitchcoc21 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
We carry on with the search for the killer of the younger brother involved in the murder of children. For some reason, the new chief has it in for Kurt. I suppose jealousy could be the reason. The guy is a stickler for running things by the book and stands in the way. He is waiting for Kurt and his partner to make a mistake. They are actually pursuing the case but he only sees their actions as meddling where they shouldn't be. The hit and run results have been leaked to the press and the secret cover is blown. The older brother finally hears of his brother's demise and is wondering what to do. Pretty solid episode.
