Kind of disappointing finale
moonelf-663-57161017 December 2021
Overall I appreciated parts of this new csi installment, particularly all the parts revolving around the Hodges case (while the accessory cases, changing from time to time, were boring and uninteresting).

The final episode is entirely devoted to the main case, and that's good; the disappointment is that, after 9 episodes where the bad guy acted flawlessly, like a genius mastermind, in the end the entire case is solved thanks to stupid errors and behaviors he had in the last episode.

He practically had already won, and in the end he's defeated by his own fault.

Somehow, this makes it look like hardly believable, diminishing the value of it all.

That said, good series with a nice plot.

Just please, replace the girl.

A Little Disjointed
Hitchcoc13 December 2021
This turned out to be an admirable series. It came out of the blue for me and I appreciate that. The framing of Hodges by that jerk is finally addressed here and it's done with some flair, but I'm a little confused by the science. I have to give that politician credit for eternal optimism. I hope there's a second season and this quality show isn't defeated by a ratings war.

That last scene!

Finally some good action. The whole team worked tirelessly on Hodges' case, discoveries flowed well and kept up interest. Good cinematography and effects.

The writers, actors, and all involved created an Excellent Series again. Mr Paul Levinson, I completely agree with your review, and I'm waiting patiently for Season 2.

Good (season?) finale!

I hope there is a s2, but if not, this was good enough. Interesting story, high stakes. The only things I did not like are a) the forced interactions between the younger couple, trying to get them together. There is no chemistry between them! B) the fact that Grissom's condition has been more or less forgotten and c) it is not clear what happened with Hodges' hair. In the previous episode it seems to be something important, here it appeared again but with another purpose, as evidence. I think something went wrong with that plot.

Good ending

This is a good ending of this season , specially the last scene , it's reminds me of the first season of CSI:LAS VEGAS, when Grissom set in the rolling coaster, I'm waiting for a new season .

Good Restart, nice final touch
koohii17 May 2023
This was overall a good restart to the show. There are a number of flaws. I, for one, could do with a lot less of the industrial music in the science montages.

I would have liked, however, so have seen a little bit more of the actual court case, especially with the ending and recovery of the key witness. There's a whole story to be had there.

Could do without the young male character--honestly he's just boring and bland. I don't know if that's the fault of the writers or the actor or what, but can we make him... ...interesting in some way? Any way? Look at the male actors in the original show--we had Nick and Danny who were both detailed and had a professional rivalry, we had Grissom, who was the father figure without any understanding of politics or bureaucracy outside of the insect colonies he studied, and we had Greg the wacky, try anything for fun guy. Where are these people? In fact, most of the lab techs don't seem to have been developed at all. All the effort has been put into the new leader, who's a mom and... um... the new leader, and the Indian woman who is... ...from India? And, that's about it. There seems to be an effort to force an office place romance between her and Mr Bland. Can we please please please please have some professionalism in the workplace and NOT have an office romance? Remember that Grissom and Sidle got in trouble for their relationship?

The zing at the end has me curious about season 2.
