Phil bought a bicycle for Luke, but stole another one which was thought to be left by his son. Manny was waiting for his father to pick him up to Disney, while his father didn't show up. Instead, Jay took Manny to Disney. Cameron and Mitchell took Lily to dancing class.

This episode mainly talked about how to be a father. The conclusion is accompany. Sometimes, it's really easy, just show up.

Claire and Phil are seen deep in a discussion about buying Luke a new bicycle. The boy has been riding Alex's old one, so his father feels it is about time to get him a bike to show him responsibility and a sense of ownership. For that purpose Phil takes him to a shop where he buys Luke a nice one, which his son loves immediately.

Phil and Claire are riding their bikes one morning when an attractive young woman, Desiree, obviously new to their neighborhood comes running opposite them. Phil notices she has a nice body and stops to introduce himself and his wife. He knows about the house she bought, having shown it to customers.

Phil spots Luke's new bicycle left unattended almost in front of the store in which it was bought. He figured his son would have learned to take care of his new bike, so he takes it with him. Along the way, he is intercepted by Desiree who wants Phil to help her with something in the house. As the job is finished, Phil discovers the bicycle is gone. What to do? Phil goes back to the shop and gets the same model again. He had stolen a bike!

Jay wants to spend a nice weekend with Gloria in a Napa inn, taking advantage of Manny's trip with his real father to Disneyland. The father, who is in Las Vegas wants to spend some quality time with his boy. As things turn out, the man is conveniently delayed and cannot take Manny to their outing. Jay decides to cancel his trip and take Manny instead to the amusement park himself.

Jason Winer directed the episode that was written by Bill Wrubel and Sameer Asad Gardezi. Of course, it has nothing to do with the Vittorio De Sica's neo-realist masterpiece. The episode concentrates on Phil and Jay, while Cam and Mitch spend some time at the new children's center where they took their Lily to meet her probable "best friend".

I enjoy this episode. It's funny and I love how the cast portray their characters. This is one of my all-time favorite episodes from the first season, however, it doesn't make it into my all-time favorites for the entire series.

In this episode, Phil buys a new bicycle for Luke, behind Claire's back, but he ends up lying when it gets stolen. Meanwhile, Jay tries bonding with Manny. Cam and Mitch begin taking Lily to daycare.

Best part of the episode: Phil.

Overall, I give this episode a 7 out of 10, which in my ratings book is: Great.

Phil buys his son a bicycle behind his wife's back and the farce begins in this funny episode of 'Modern Family', a show that really hit the ground running in its first year.

It also boasts another very funny performance from Eric Stonestreet, and it's great that the writers are able to juggle a big cast and provide everyone with moments to shine.

I'm enjoying this show thus far.

A hot new neighbour passes by the family who are biking on the streets. She is wearing a sports bra and showing lots of cleavage...making the wife jealous. The husband later says he is attracted to her but he is not going to act on it.

The gay couple takes their adopted daughter to a daycare type of place but one of them is concerned about being showing their gayness.

Sofia Vergara is gorgeous. Her husband tells her they are to go to a place with a hot tub and to bring whatever she wears in a hot tub. Sofia says she usually goes in naked. Sofia persuades her husband to fix the ceiling fan in Manny's room. Manny is excited to go to Disney Land with his dad. However his dad called in and said he cannot come. The husband brings a limo and claims its from Manny's dad. They go to Disney Land as a family.
