This week's episode of Agatha All Along was so spooky it could be a Halloween Day event in September. I swear there were so many thrilling moments that I regularly caught myself gasping and being caught off-guard. I absolutely loved that vibe from this week, and I can only imagine what's in store for the season finale that airs on Halloween Eve.
There is so much to chat about regarding this week's episode of the witchy Marvel/Disney+ series, but most importantly there is that name-drop. The name we've been whispering about, theorizing about, and obsessing over since the premiere of WandaVision three years ago. While we were let down at that time, the writers and creators of Agatha All Along are making up for it ten-fold by simply having a character mention that name. More on that in a bit!

This post contains spoilers for "Agatha All Along" episode 3.
Three episodes in, and it's clear that "Agatha All Along" won't be keeping with its predecessor's TV show satirizing format ... for the most part. After a series premiere that kicked off with a prestige crime drama parody (Kathryn Hahn's Agatha went full "Mare of Easttown" with a dash of "True Detective: Night Country"), the show's second episode mostly played its plot straight, with nary a runtime-spanning pop culture homage in sight. The third episode continues this trend at first, with Agatha's coven setting off on the Witches' Road. But the show's TV-loving writers clearly can't help but throw in a nod to a show or two, as they do when the gang finds a sleek, bougie house in the middle of the road.
When the witches step into the house, they're suddenly dressed head to toe in luxury loungewear...

Spoiler Alert! This post contains details from Episode 3 of Agatha All Along.
Agatha Harkness and her ragtag coven encounter their first obstacle on The Witches Road in Episode 3 of Agatha All Along.
If you’ll remember, the crew narrowly escaped the Salem Seven, finding themselves on the Road in the final moments of Episode 2. Here’s a refresher.
Things pick up right where they left off, as the coven departs down the Witches Road with no idea what lies ahead. All of the witches are stunned to discover that the road is even real, except for Sharon (Debra Jo Rupp), who is convinced that everyone has kidnapped her. The coven, sans Agatha (Kathryn Hahn), is concerned that Sharon is with them at all, since she poses an obvious liability with no actual, obvious magical abilities.
That’s when Agatha informs them that the Road is really a test of sorts,...

The third episode of Agatha All Along takes us further down the Witches' Road and reveals that each of the coven's skills will be tested to determine their knowledge of the craft, despite the fact they're all powerless.
Early on, Teen contradicts himself when he mentions that his parents are asleep...didn't he say his mom had died last week? There could be an explanation for that, of course, but we learn the Sigil was put on the teenager to hide him, explaining why he can't tell anyone there his name.
Mrs. Hart wanders off and soon realises that's not a good idea on the Witches' Road. With that, a house on a beach appears and, when the coven enters, their clothes have changed and they realise there are no handles on the door or windows. They're trapped.
As the group explores, Jennifer Kale talks to Teen and suggests that...

By the pricking of my thumbs, something spoilery this way comes. Warning: This article discusses events from the latest episode of "Agatha All Along."
Yep, here we go again, folks. Old habits die hard, especially among powerful witches, but nothing dies harder than the average Marvel fan's obsession with the infamous entity known as Mephisto. We've been down this road before in "WandaVision" and even "She-Hulk," to name just a pair of Marvel Cinematic Universe installments that played fast and loose with our expectations of when the demonic villain might finally make his live-action debut in the franchise. Well, just in case the latest Disney+ series didn't already have enough going on, "Agatha All Along" has pushed its poker chips all in and actually name-dropped the elusive comic book character during episode 3 -- something that no other property under Kevin Feige's careful supervision has yet dared to do.

The first two episodes of Agatha All Along were all about Agatha Harkness breaking the spell that was cast on her mind by Wanda Maximoff and then setting out on a perilous journey to regain her powers. There was a sense of urgency to the quest, because Agatha’s vulnerability made her prone to attacks from all the enemies she had made in her life. Rio, her former flame, wanted to kill her immediately, but Agatha convinced her to let her get her powers back so that they could have a proper match. She couldn’t bargain with what looked like the Salem Seven, and they almost got to her when she and her coven were trying to open the door to The Witches’ Road. Fortunately, The Road showed itself in the nick of time, and Agatha, her coven, and the unnamed teen were able to disappear into an alternate dimension.

As Marvel Studios' Vision series (previously titled "Vision Quest") continues to round out its cast, we have a very interesting rumor relating to Tony Stark and his father Howard's former assistants.
According to Mttsh, Kerry Condon and James D'Arcy will appear as their respective characters, F.R.I.D.A.Y and Jarvis.
Condon provided the voice of Tony's second AI after J.A.R.V.I.S. (Paul Bettany) was transformed into Vision, while D'Arcy played the human the "natural-language user interface computer system" was named after, Edwin Jarvis.
How these characters will factor into the show remains to be seen.
The project is being described as "the third part of a trilogy that started with WandaVision and continues in Agatha All Along."
We found out earlier this year that the Vision show had been revamped, with Star Trek: Picard executive producer Terry Matalas now on board as showrunner.

Ever since the beginning of the Multiverse Saga in 2021, Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have been talking about one person. It's not classic MCU heroes like Iron Man or Captain America, or Phase Four staples like the Scarlet Witch, Wong, Spider-Man, or Doctor Strange. No, it's the one person we've all been waiting to appear. And, rather ironically, the one person who has yet to actually appear.
We are, of course, talking about Mephisto.
Marvel Studios' first Disney Plus series WandaVision had fans convinced that the character would be involved, both due to his history with Agatha Harkness and the Scarlet Witch, and the fact that there were a number of nods and references that could have led to his arrival. When that didn't happen, they were convinced it would happen in Loki, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, in What If...? and so forth.
Now, three years later,...

The initiative launched in select markets over summer and is now also live in Canada, Costa Rica, and Guatemala. It only allows one extra member per account and is not available on the Disney Bundle, which can include Hulu or Hulu and ESPN+.

Like WandaVision before it, Agatha All Along is one of those MCU TV shows that's bound to generate new fan theories on a weekly basis. Some of those will pan out, while others are sure to end with disappointment; today, two of the biggest mysteries have just been solved courtesy of Funko Pop packaging.
Speculation has been running rampant about the identity of Joe Locke's Teen since he was first cast. All signs have pointed to him being Billy Maximoff/Billy Kaplan, though there are those who are convinced it's all a misdirect and that he'll eventually be outed as Nicholas Scratch, Agatha Harkness' son.
Well, it's now 100% confirmed - thanks to the back of a Funko Pop box posted by UK retailer Smyths - that Locke is indeed playing Wiccan. We also have a first look at his comic-accurate costume along with a headband that's clearly meant to pay homage to his mother,...

Jac Schaeffer serves as the showrunner and creator for Marvel’s latest television series Agatha All Along. The series is a spin-off to Schaeffer’s 2021 miniseries WandaVision, which introduced Agatha Harkness, played by Kathryn Hahn. Aside from serving as the showrunner, Schaeffer also directed the first two episodes of the spin-off series.

During an interview, Schaeffer revealed the reason she wanted to helm the first two episodes, which turned out to be better than the opening of The Acolyte. Meanwhile, the series also improved one other concept it shares in common with the Star Wars series. Here is what Schaeffer had to say about directing Agatha All Along.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe had been going through a rocky journey following the Infinity Saga. It hit its lowest when The Marvels failed to break even in its theatrical run. While the 2023 film failed for many reasons, some newly released concept arts suggest that Marvel could have done better with the Brie Larson film by choosing the originally planned costume designs.

Disney has officially launched its password and account-sharing crackdown, rolling out what it is calling its “paid sharing program” to users in the U.S. and in many regions around the world this week.
The company had teased the changes in earnings calls earlier this year, but with the launch, it now has an official policy and plan in place to try and migrate users who are sharing accounts to their own subscriptions.
The paid sharing program has a couple of options for users, per a blog post published Wednesday: People sharing an account with someone outside their household can add that person as an “Extra Member” for $6.99 per month for Disney+ Basic, or $9.99 for Disney+ Premium, both discounts to the normal retail price. Only one Extra Member will be allowed per account, and it is not available as part of the Disney Bundle.

Aubrey Plaza stars as a corrupt journalist in Francis Ford Coppola’s newest film, and according to the actress, she watched “a lot” of Fox News in order to prepare and get in the headspace for the character.
The suggestion started as a joke on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Daily Show,” where Plaza was a guest. In discussing the film and setting up Plaza’s character, host Desi Lydic wondered “how much Tucker Carlson footage did you have to watch” in order to channel a morally corrupt journalist.
And though Plaza didn’t call out anyone by name, the actress laughed and conceded that she did use Carlson’s former network as inspiration.
“I mean I actually, in all seriousness, I did watch a lot of Fox News,” Plaza replied. “To study, yeah. To research my role as a corrupt journalist. I did!”

Internet has found Kathryn Hahn’s favorite MCU film and it appears to not be so fondly remembered by fans. Hahn was asked about her favorite MCU film and she chose the female-led film Black Widow. Scarlett Johansson was given her first lead role in the Marvel Universe in this film after over a decade of her appearance. However, fans believe that Hahn could’ve chosen better.

Wanda was never just a character in the MCU; she started as a villain, transformed into a hero, and ultimately became a tragic figure with a poignant backstory. After experiencing immense loss, she returned to villainy but eventually found redemption by destroying the Darkhold and, reportedly, taking her own life.
The conclusion of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness raised numerous unanswered questions, and the official statements provided little clarity on whether Wanda still exists within the MCU.
Fans are eagerly anticipating Wanda’s return to the MCU, possibly in Agatha All Along or the upcoming Vision series. However, recent rumors suggest that her comeback may be delayed a bit longer.

Industry insider and leaker MyTimeToShineHello recently posted that Scarlet Witch will be returning to the MCU in ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ and that she will have a...

After months of teasing us with title changes, Agatha All Along finally made its much anticipated debut on Disney+. The latest Marvel miniseries is a spin-off of the 2021 show WandaVision, and follows the beloved character of Agatha Harkness (played by Kathryn Hahn) as she attempts to regain her magical powers.
Agatha All Along debuted with a two-episode premiere that served as a nice introduction to the series. If you're reading this and wondering about Episode 3 then chances are you watched the first two episodes, but as a quick spoiler-free frecap, the first two episodes serves as a general setup to the series.
Similar to WandaVision, the show begins as a crime-noir television series in which Agatha is playing a fictional police detective, Agnes O'Connor, investigating the murder of a Jane Doe. It doesn't take long for the series to ramp up though and soon Agatha realizes that the she's been...

Turns out, the "Mare of Easttown" parody that's already become synonymous with Marvel's new show "Agatha All Along" was originally intended for its parent series, "WandaVision." As showrunner Jac Schaeffer explained to The Wrap, the whole thing actually originated as a "CSI" homage episode of "WandaVision" that ended up falling by the wayside after the show's writers honed in on the sitcom format. As a result, she kept the idea tucked away and ended up using it for the "Agatha" series premiere instead.
"It was always the design that ['Agatha'] would start with this true crime episode," Schaeffer told the outlet while discussing the first two episodes of the "WandaVision" spinoff. "That was an idea that I had when I pitched 'WandaVision,'" she continued. "It was going to be the eighth episode of 'WandaVision,' that was going to be like a 'CSI' episode,...

The past year has been an interesting one for television. Plenty of TV shows have come and gone, airing just one season in that space of time before being unjustly cut short (Dead Boy Detectives). Others have announced that their long runs would be coming to something of a premature end due to issues outside of their control (911: Lone Star bowing out after just five seasons).
Elsewhere, major movie studios have made their presence felt on TV once again, with Marvel Studios offering up new installments of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the form of miniseries Echo and Agatha All Along (along with Marvel Animation's X-Men '97) and Lucasfilm introducing audiences to a new Star Wars story in The Acolyte (and the upcoming Skeleton Crew). Unfortunately, not even the Star Wars franchise is safe from the cancellation ax asThe Acolyte was cancelled after one season, too.

Streaming is not the cost-efficient miracle it once seemed. Just a few years ago, when Max (formerly HBO Max) and Netflix were really the only streamers around, cord-cutting was a great way to avoid paying $100 (or more) every month for cable or satellite. Now, however, other streamers have entered the fray with their own buzzy programming, from Hulu to Paramount+, and major studios have launched their own streaming services with exclusive content.

As the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Scarlet Witch, Elizabeth Olsen has earned herself a legion of fans (she's also earned the title of "mother" among her biggest devotees...don't ask!).
This version of the Wanda Maximoff debuted in 2015's Avengers: Age of Ultron thanks to a complicated rights loophole which saw Marvel Studios also allowed to use the mutant and her brother Pietro/Quicksilver due to their history with the team.
Despite losing her mutant status, in the years that have followed, the Scarlet Witch has become a key part of this shared world. That was evident from her role in movies like Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.
Later, she took centre stage in WandaVision and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Controversially, the latter left the hero's fate very much up in the air and Wanda hasn't been seen since; on the plus side, rumours of a solo outing persist,...

Agatha All Along premiered just a few days ago with its first two episodes, receiving overwhelmingly positive reactions from audiences. The series follows Agatha Harkness as she escapes from her magical prison and returns to the real world.
However, there’s a twist: Agatha is now powerless and being pursued by Salem’s Seven. This predicament leads her to accept a deal from “the Teen,” agreeing to walk the Witches Road with him and a makeshift coven they managed to assemble in just one day.
The show is filled with mysteries and references, with one of the biggest enigmas revolving around the Teen’s identity. The leading theory suggests he is Billy Kaplan, also known as the reincarnated Billy Maximoff—Wanda’s son.
Additionally, Agatha’s son, Nicholas Scratch, has been hinted at, suggesting he could be more closely related to Agatha than to Wanda.

‘Agatha All Along’ premiered just a few days ago with the first two episodes to overwhelmingly positive audience reactions. The show sees Agatha Harkness being broken out of her magical prison and returning to the real world.
Still, there’s a twist. Agatha is powerless and is being hunted down by Salem’s Seven which forces her to accept a deal proposed by “the Teen” and walk the Witches Road alongside him and a makeshift coven they managed to put together in a span of a single day.
The show is absolutely brimming with mysteries and references, and one of the greatest mysteries so far is related to Teen’s identity. The most likely theory is that he is Billy Kaplan aka reincarnated Billy Maximoff- Wanda’s son.
We also can’t ignore that Agatha’s son – Nicholas Scratch has also been teased so he might prove to be closer to Agatha than to Wanda.

While we're pretty confident in saying that Agatha All Along's Teen is really Billy Maximoff, the mystery surrounding the character has hooked fans.
In the second episode, Joe Locke's character goes to tell Agatha Harkness his name but it's hidden by a sigil that appears across his mouth. Later, he recounts his past but the witch is unable to hear any of what he's saying, creating yet another big mystery.
Talking to The Wrap, Agatha All Along showrunner and director Jac Schaeffer was asked about the sigil which looks an awful lot like an "M."
"I think the idea behind the sigil was a variety of things. We really loved doing the runes in 'WandaVision,' which was then carried into Doctor Strange's world," she explained. "So it was a thing that was in our witchy playbook, that was carried forward in the MCU. And so we...

The prospect of a WandaVision spin-off focusing on Kathryn Hahn's scene-stealing witch, Agatha Harkness, may have seemed like a more appealing idea a few years ago, but even then, a lot of fans wondered what the point of a series revolving around this character was when there are better-known and more popular Marvel Comics heroes and villains that have yet to be given the spotlight.
So, it's probably fair to say that Agatha All Along wasn't exactly one of the most anticipated Disney+ MCU shows, but the first two episodes seemed to go over at least a little better than we were expecting with anyone willing to give them a chance.
We recently asked you to cast your vote in a poll, and the results are now in: With 452 votes, 30% of you felt that the first two episodes were "very good," followed by 379 votes (25%) for "excellent;" 320 (21%) for "good;" 218 (15%) for "awful" and 124 (8%) for disappointing.

The recent debut of Agatha All Along has stirred a pot of passionate reactions, reminiscent of the fervor surrounding its predecessor, WandaVision. With Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as the enigmatic Agatha Harkness, fans have eagerly awaited the next chapter of this witchy saga.
However, not all responses have been positive. The series has faced its fair share of backlash, leading to a spirited defense from devoted fans. The stakes have risen as discussions about what constitutes “fun” in entertainment take center stage, revealing much about the nature of fandom itself.

Spoiler Warning: This story includes major plot details in the first two episodes of “Agatha All Along,” currently streaming on Disney+.

While the season premiere of “Agatha All Along” set up some of the core mysteries of the show, Episode 2 assembled Agatha’s own Avengers. Well, Ok, technically it’s just her coven. But they’re kind of like witchy Avengers?
The women certainly don’t have super powers, but each one has a very specific set of magical powers that are needed to form a coven, and a coven is what Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) needs to take on the Witches’ Road. None of them are exactly thrilled about teaming up with a known liar and power thief, but each of them wants power only the road can give them.
On top of that, there enters the mystery of the symbol on Joe Locke’s character, which we learn is a sigil. He can’t give any details on who he is or where he comes from.

“Agatha All Along” is here and bringing a whole lot of witchiness to the MCU. But the premiere episode also brought several questions with it.
Now streaming on Disney+, the new series picks up three years after the events of “WandaVision,” back in Westview. Wanda Maximoff (Elizabeth Olsen) is long gone but Agatha Harkness is still there, trapped in Wanda’s spell.
When we find her again, she believes she’s Agnes O’Connor, a grizzled detective in the vein of Kate Winslet’s character from “Mare of Easttown”. But an old colleague in the form of Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) and a mysterious newcomer (Joe Locke) are determined to break her free.

Now, a new rumor suggests that we won't just witness her highly anticipated comeback, but even potentially return as one of the main villains of the story again. This time, with the likes of Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom.

Disney is just giving out Disney+ deals left and right. First, we had the $1.99 a month for a three-month deal. Now Roku has an “Agatha All Along” hub with yet another Disney+ subscription offering. It sounds to me like Disney was trying really hard to bring up viewership for this show.
What is the Disney+ Roku Deal?
The Roku deal is offering new Disney+ subscribers the basic (ad-supported) service at 75% off for three months if you subscribe before September 27, 2024. Roku allows users to stream Disney+ through their devices.
What is the “Agatha All Along Experience”
To try and boost awareness and viewership of the Marvel show, Disney has teamed up with Roku for a new “experience”
“Meet the witches, watch behind-the-scenes clips, and unlock a free preview of the first episode of Agatha All Along with a special introduction from Agatha herself, Kathryn Hahn.”

Marvel’s “Thunderbolts” hasn’t exactly had the easiest transition from comic book to screen.
The film has been teased since 2021 with the release of “Black Widow” and introduction of characters Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), and Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), all of whom are featured in various iterations of the “Thunderbolts” comics. Further hints were made in the Disney+ series “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” However, with Marvel fare like “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” and “The Marvels” underperforming at the box office and last year’s strike delaying production on both “Thunderbolts” and “Captain America: Brave New World,” there have been a few hiccups.
Now, a first look teaser at the star-studded film is finally revealed.
“Thunderbolts” was initially slated to release around this time in 2023 when Phase 5 of the MCU was announced at Comic-Con in 2022. It was also supposed to conclude this phase of the MCU,...

WandaVision Writer Jac Schaeffer Opens Up on Scarlet Witch's Villainous Turn in Doctor Strange 2 - Main Image
WandaVision showrunner Jac Schaeffer recently opened up about the Scarlet Witch's villainous turn in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
The hit MCU sequel saw the fan-favorite character become the main villain after she was corrupted by the power of the Darkhold. She presumably "died" at the end of the film and it was recently addressed in Agatha All Along.
While Elizabeth Olsen's performance was widely praised, some fans were not happy with the characterization of the Scarlet Witch as they believed that it was not in alignment with her arc in WandaVision.

There's a huge amount of excitement for Agatha All Along's upcoming third episode after those thrilling opening chapters and a new Roku trailer reveals some intriguing never-before-seen footage from future episodes.
While much of it is familiar, there's a very telling shot in this low-res sneak peek of Teen using magic. Blue energy radiates from his hands and the comic book fans among you will surely recognise who that's likely a nod to: Billy Kaplan, a.k.a. Wiccan.
On the one hand, it feels like Teen's true identity is all but confirmed; on the other, it's worth bearing in mind that this could be a total misdirect similar to what we saw with WandaVision and all those Mephisto teases.
Who else could Teen be if not Billy? There are already theories swirling that he could be Nicholas Scratch, the son of Agatha Harkness...
