A step down quality wise, but it got it's point across.

Warning: Spoilers
I thought this week's smack down took a bit hit, though it did develop some interesting story lines. Edge spearing Taker for payback, was a nice touch. But I was disappointed by some of the match quality. CM Punk Vs Rey, was not as good as the glowing reviews, and Jericho Vs Taker was a tad disappointing. Let's take a look at what went down, shall we?.

CM Punk Vs Rey Mysterio. I thought it was decent, but that's about it. Rey's overcoming the impossible act, is really starting to grate my nerves. This could make for an interesting feud, but we all know it'll be Punk, whose head is shaved. Rey wins with a roll up

Drew Mcintyre Vs Kane. Drew cuts a pretty basic promo. I like Drew, but more seasoning is needed for him. Drew changes his mind, but Kane objects, and whacks him. Standard Smack Down filler, that we see many times on Raw, and lots elsewhere. This feud could be interesting though, if developed right. Double count out ensures. Afterwards, Drew tries to get the IC belt, but Kane choke slams him.

Backstage Mickie James is eating some fruit, looking hot as hell, if I might add. And of course McCool and her lackey Layla, are here to tease her about her weight. I'm no McCool fan, but she did look hot tonight. Vickie hilariously gets some cottage cheese, smacked all over her. Pointless, I am so sick of this storyline. Breathe some new blood into it. Mickie deserves better, because McCool just isn't cutting it.

Mickie James Vs Layla. Mickie is out to a big pop. Not over huh? what the heck are you watching?. They fight for a while, before Vickie is out. Vickie decides to exact revenge on Mickie, so she makes this a handicap match. Michelle takes off her shoes, and here we go. Mickie handles herself well, but in the end McCool hits The Faithbreaker. Same old stuff every week.

Great Khali&Matt Hardy Vs The Hart Dynasty. Just a way to bury The Hart Dynasty even more, with a pointless tag team of Khali and Matt. Khali and Matt win, with a roll up

It's announced, like on Raw, Ted Dibiase will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Woo

Batista refuses to give the fans, a explanation. Which leads Teddy to announce him vs Edge. Good segment, with a lot of heat

R-Truth Vs John Morrison. Morrison apparently gets injured, stopping the match. I don't know where they are going with this, but according to news sites, Morrison is fine.

Edge is out to a big ovation, from the crowd. It looks like he's a face. Edge claims he's glad he won The Rumble, because he does not have to be in The Elimination Chamber, he faces who ever survives. He claims it could be his former Rated RKO Buddy, Randy Orton, or his old pal John Cena, or even Rey Mysterio, or the love child of Brutus Beefcake, and Charles Mansion|Hilarious|. Edge claims he would really love to face The Undertaker at Wrestlemania 26.|God I hope not, we have had enough of this feud|. Jericho is appalled that Edge failed to mention him, as a future opponent, but he's not surprised, because Jericho is a bad luck charm for Edge. Chris says he does not get injured, he carries the company on his back, and wins championships. He claims edge should save himself some grief, and choose the winner of the elimination chamber from raw, instead of him. Jericho claims he win the Smackdown Elimination Chamber, and walk out world champion, and to stay out of his way. Nicely done segment, that furthers the feud, between the two.

Chris Jericho Vs The Undertaker. Edge is out for commentary, talking about his opponent Batista next week, while claiming he hates Batista, Undertaker, and Jericho. The match itself, was quite disappointing. Both men are capable of much more. Taker surprisingly is the instigator, and big boots Edge. Taker has the match locked up, but Edge spears The Undertaker, leading Jericho to hit The Codebreaker, for the victory. Undertaker does not need to be champion at Wrestlemania. Here's hoping, they go with Edge Vs Jericho, and HBK Vs Taker II.

Bottom line. I have a sneaky suspicion, Taker may walk out Champion. I respect Taker, but he does not need the gold. Here's hoping, they go with their original plan, in Jericho Vs Edge, and HBK Vs Taker II. Thumbs down, for this episode.
