[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 9 “No Future, No Consequences.”] On the one hand, we can understand why Manny does what he does after Kevin Alejandro‘s explanation. On the other hand, it’s still not a smart move! The penultimate episode of Fire Country Season 2 sees Manny worried for most of the episode—while fighting a campaign fire!—that his actions upon learning Luke (Michael Trucco) recommended Three Rock be shut down (he punched him and accidentally started a fire) would cost him his job. They didn’t. However, near the end of the episode, Vince (Billy Burke) calls him to inform him there’s a warrant out for his arrest, for aggravated battery and reckless endangerment. He says he’s talking to Mickey and they’ll call in every favor, but Manny still goes Mia, last seen walking down a road and not ...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 9 “No Future, No Consequences.”] Dare we say the Leones have something to be very happy about at the end of the penultimate episode of Fire Country Season 2? It comes, of course, after Vince (Billy Burke) is nearly consumed by the flames of a campaign fire. Due to that incident, the truth about his hand tremor and heart arrhythmia does come out, but fortunately, he’s going to be fine and has admitted he needs help. Then comes some good news, followed by good news, then bad news, and then more good news in quick succession: Manny (Kevin Alejandro) won’t lose his job for punching Luke (Michael Trucco) and starting a fire upon learning the other man recommended Three Rock be shut down, the fire camp will remain open, a warrant is out for Manny’s arrest and he’s Mia, and because of his work saving his father, ...

Viewers were taken on a wild ride on Fire Country Season 2 Episode 9 as we careen toward the finale. Fans went through the wringer with storylines featuring tense emotions and life-threatening actions.
We started the episode with a pit of worry about the future of Three Rock and our favorite redeemed bad boy, Manny Perez. Then there's Vince's heart issue and Gabriela's Springer-worthy engagement/former relationship with Diego and Bode.
Did Roberta (Gabriela's mom) say enough to change Gab's mind about her upcoming nuptials to Diego? Given what happened with her and Bode during the campaign fire, it's possible.
Things are definitely heating up.
If you're one of the fans who thought Fire Country was burning out after a strong first season and a flat second, your mind should be changed.
The writers tossed viewers straight into the flames -- literally. When a fire call lasts over 40 days with little...

CBS has been “freshening” up its lineup by canceling some fan-favorite shows and replacing them with new versions, hoping fans will happily switch to the new shows. CBS canceled Blue Bloods to add more to the Fire Country franchise. It is also canceling NCIS: Hawai’i and replacing it with NCIS: Origins. Now, they are replacing CSI: Vegas as well.
Here is a look at what is coming next for the CSI franchise.
CBS Bringing New CSI Series To Summer Season
CBS announced several shows that they canceled and some were not only fan favorites but were also successful in the ratings. Things started out exciting when CBS brought back CSI: Vegas because it saw Gil Grissom (William Peterson) and Sara Sidle (Jorja Fox) return. However, they only lasted one season and the new cast had to carry the series.
After three seasons and 39 episodes, the ratings continued to be strong.

Choosing paths to success is extremely difficult. You have to try many ways, fail a few times, and after some time you'll find the way that suits you best and grow naturally. Well, at least that's the first way of thinking. But there's another one... easier.
Copying someone's success story can be tricky: yes, you seem to be following the same rules and doing the same things. So you would think that the results would be the same as those of the people you are inspired by. But the thing is, life is so unpredictable that what worked for one person will never work for another.
And, of course, both of these methods are used in business. For example, there's a way to take several highly-rated shows in a universe and spin them together to create a whole new huge universe that spans multiple stories. The perfect example is NBC's One Chicago franchise,...

The Big Brother 26 season appears destined for a shorter run than Big Brother 25.
With two Hollywood strikes happening, the BB25 cast played the game longer than any previous houseguests.
Jag Bains beat Matt Klotz on Day 100 of Big Brother 26, making it the longest season in history.
Since many scripted dramas and comedies at CBS — NCIS, FBI, Fire Country, etc. — were delayed in production, it left timeslots open for shows like Big Brother.
Now that the strikes have ended, CBS can return to its regular fall programming, and that’s exactly what they announced this week.
Shows like NCIS: Origins were added to the CBS primetime schedule, and many hit shows are returning for new episodes in September of 2024.
Big Brother 26 is likely a shorter season
As some fans may remember, the BB25 finale happened in November. The season ran from August 2 to November 9.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 8 “It’s Not Over.”] When better to have your estranged mother show up than at a Firefighters’ Ball attended by two of your exes—one of whose future is up in the air—and your fiancé? We do think it’s better than a reunion coming at a wedding, but that’s what Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) had been planning on Fire Country. But after her fiancé Diego (Rafael de la Fuente) invites Roberta (Paola Núñez), drama, of course, ensues—and she talks to all three men in her daughter’s life, even seemingly giving hope to Bode (Max Thieriot). And this comes as Gabriela’s also dealing with being the only one to know about Vince’s (Billy Burke) hand tremor, which is shown to be detrimental to his heath. Below, Arcila discusses Gabriela’s family reunion, feelings for Diego and Bode, and more. That reunion with...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 8 “It’s Not Over.”] It’s a mix of good and bad news throughout the latest Fire Country, which does end with Three Rock in a better place but also with us worried about one of the Leones. The gala and attempt to impress the governor (Catherine Lough Haggquist) does end up being a success, thanks to speeches from both Eve (Jules Latimer) and Bode (Max Thieriot) and the latter being among those who leap into action when a fire breaks out. But, as everyone learns, it was actually Luke (Michael Trucco) who recommended the fire camp be shut down (for financial reasons). In other Leone family drama, Vince’s (Billy Burke) hand tremor is a serious (heart-stopping) concern, but one only Gabriela (Stephanie Arcila) knows about, and he plans to keep it that way for now as everyone’s rolling out to help with the campaign fire.

CBS is blowing the Fire Country franchise wide open.
Coming off a strong backdoor pilot for a Morena Baccarin-led spin-off, the network has officially ordered Sheriff Country.
The network says the show follows the “straight-shooting sheriff Mickey Fox, the stepsister of Cal Fire’s division chief Sharon Leone, who investigates criminal activity as she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater while contending with her ex-con father and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.”
It’s a compelling logline that expands ever so slightly on the initial conflicts revealed to viewers in the recent backdoor pilot.
News of the series order would naturally make viewers think it earned a slot in the 2024-2025 TV season, but CBS has revealed it won’t premiere until the 2025-2026 TV season.
The decision means we have a long wait before we delve back into Mickey’s storyline. Perhaps Baccarin will make more...

CBS announced not only its fall schedule, but a full lineup for the 2024-2025 broadcast season at a Los Angeles press briefing on Thursday.
As “Young Sheldon” is currently wrapping up its final season on Thursdays at 8 p.m., a headline of the slate is spinoff series “Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage” taking over that spot, leading into “Ghosts” at 8:30 p.m. Additionally, “Tracker” — not only the No. 1 new series of the 2023-2024 season, but the most-watched series overall — is getting an earlier position, moving from Sundays at 9 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Several CBS traditions remain intact. Tuesdays remain “FBI” night with the flagship series airing at 8 p.m. followed by “FBI: International” at 9 p.m. and “FBI: Most Wanted” at 10 p.m. On Mondays, “NCIS” holds onto its 9 p.m. timeslot, and after the cancellation of “NCIS: Hawai’i,” it’s 9:30 p.m. position will be taken...

CBS has given an early series order to “Sheriff Country,” a new spin-off of hit Eye network drama “Fire Country.” But rather than airing the show next fall or midseason, CBS plans to save “Sheriff Country” for the 2025-2026 TV season.

Per the logline, Mickey “investigates criminal activity as she patrols the streets of small-town Edgewater while contending with her ex-con father and a mysterious incident involving her wayward daughter.”
Tony Phelan and Joan Rater are writing the first “Sheriff Country” episode, with story by Phelan, Rater and Max Thieriot. Executive producers are Thieriot, Phelan, Rater, and Jerry Bruckheimer and...

CBS executives were keenly aware of the elephant in the room Thursday as new co-ceo George Cheeks and entertainment president Amy Reisenbach opened their fall schedule presentation by addressing the latest rumblings in the sale process of parent company Paramount Global.
“It’s a super quiet, uneventful week for us,” Cheeks quipped as he kicked off the hourlong presentation just moments after news broke that Sony and Apollo submitted a $26 billion cash offer to buy Paramount Global.
Other than addressing morale — “we’ve all locked arms” and are “focusing on what we can control,” Cheeks said — both execs spent the press briefing at the Paramount offices in Hollywood focused on CBS and its 2024-25 schedule.
Cheeks and Reisenbach opened with a victory lap of sorts as CBS finished the strikes-impacted 2023-24 in first place, breaking a decades-old record set by the network with 16 straight season victories and 21 of the past 22 years.

Sheriff Country won’t premiere, however, until the 2025-26 season. CBS Entertainment president told reporters Thursday that the extra time will give the network breathing room to get the show right.

If you read the headline and are asking yourselves, pilots? what pilots? — you are not wrong. It’s been largely a 2024 pilot season without pilots. A grand total of maybe one of them is expected to factor into any fall decisions as the broadcast networks prepare to unveil their schedules, starting with CBS tomorrow, May 2.
Needless to say, the broadcast pilot season is no longer the industry obsession it once was this time of year, with back-to-back disruptions from the pandemic and the dual Hollywood strikes providing the proverbial final nail in the coffin of the decades-old pilot cycle. But for tradition’s sake, here are some insights into the networks’ current development plans.

Like many other TV shows, no matter the network, Fire Country's second season fell victim to the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes and had to be cut in order to be released at all. While the first season of the show consisted of 22 episodes, the second season will only air 10, making it very close to the finale.
However, the closer fans get to the end of the season, the harder it is to see the point of a major twist that surprised Bode this season. For a good half of the season, he worried that little Genevieve was his biological daughter. Now that the truth is out and it's confirmed that she's not, viewers are disappointed.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Fire Country Season 2 Episode 7 “A Hail Mary.”] To say Three Rock is in need of rescue in the latest Fire Country episode would be an understatement. Residents of Edgewater aren’t happy with inmates around, and even the fence that Luke (Michael Trucco) has put up doesn’t stop the protestors. But it seems like Eve (Jules Latimer), as Three Rock’s captain, and the inmate firefighters themselves are able to sway some when they leap into action alongside Station 42 to help the injured and save a life after a car crashes into a utility pole. Vince (Billy Burke) is injured after the danger seems to be over when the power is turned back on, but his trip to the hospital reveals a hand tremor he’s hiding. As for Three Rock, as Eve’s riding a high of a news report seemingly being a good sign for the camp,...

Wow. After a rocky start to the season, the latest episode of Fire Country lived up to its name by delivering a Hail Mary to get things back on track.
Fans have felt slighted recently, with many complaining that the latest episodes have failed to achieve the awesomeness of Fire Country Season 1.
We should note that some problems seem to be caused by industry-crushing strikes. Programming has been askew across the board as creators try to fit an entire season into a truncated space. It seems the delayed start wasn't the worst of it.
Fire Country hasn't escaped unscathed. So far, every hour has been packed with too much action, bizarre storylines, poor character development, and wonky, stilted dialogue.
While it's an ongoing trend, Fire Country Season 2 Episode 6 turned things around.
So, this seemed the perfect opportunity for Deputy Mickey Fox to return. At least now we know she exists,...
