My Reaction / Review for Episodes Season 1 Episode 1: It's been a long time since I watched anything comedy related and a show with Matt LeBlanc sounds like a good idea, I hope this is good. The episode starts by focusing on this couple: Beverly and Sean who have a successful tv show. Their new house seems to be too big for two people. Their new boss isnt who he seems to be. Also the environment that they have to work at seems to be full of toxictwo faced people. This sounds like a huge downgrade. And these people have no sense of humor but they wanna tell them how to do a proper comedy tv show, definitely interesting. Now I wanna see what Matt LeBlanc character is all about. While not the best way to start this show, the episode is decent. My rating is 7/10.

Episodes. A neat idea. It's a show that goes beyond the scenes. It's about a show that is created in England, and it does very well and is critically acclaimed. Just like what happened to the original 'The Office', it is taken from that country, and brought over to the US, where it is changed in many ways, but at the same time, making tons of money and fans. So just like Rickey Gervais and 'The Office', it is about moving it over to the popular crowd. I liked this show and really liked the pilot. It's been nominated for many awards and it has the comedic embrace of Matt Leblanc (Friends) and creator David Crane(Friends).

No political or overwhelming views. Just a funny situational comedy.

Lots of fun.

I found a secret trap at the bottom of the barrel. It leads to a world that should have never been discovered. That forbidden realm is ruled by the king of all rotten TV shows : Episodes. The apple had a worm and it wasn't even alive. Seriously I can't possibly comprehend how such an abomination was aired on Showtime. People who have created it should be fired. And people who have fired them should be fired too. In fact the network should sell itself for $1 on some auction website. A sitcom ? I only laughed one time at the end of the bath scene but it's because I was about to lose my mind. The very first minutes I instantly wanted to switch off my TV. Funny ? Pathetic ! But it took me a while before realizing that it would never improve. Stopping before I reached the end probably saved my life. In fact for the very first time in my life reviewing an episode feels like a journey through hell so maybe I'm already dead. The apple, the worm and the reviewer. A new script for Showtime ! Worst the actor we all expected never showed up. During the brainwash I think I saw him for a few split seconds but I was surely hallucinating. In fact I have forgotten his very name. Episodes residents shouldn't be named, it could summon an other episode. One, two, three… After writing more than 200 reviews I thought I had seen the worst but that show opened a box that should have remained closed.

What an Abomination

Where do I start. This lacklustre mishmash suffers from its own story line. It is about a British couple who write a successful TV show in the UK and are asked by an American to do an American version. As we all know, every time this has happened for real, it has been a disaster of galactic proportions. I might add the same goes for Aussie shows the Americans have tried to Americanise like Kath and Kim. The British duo arrive in LA to be treated rudely by their own security guard at their posh gated community. They find they have to audition the actor (Richard Griffiths of Pie in the Sky fame) for a part he has played in Britain for 4 years. The Americans hate him. I realise the Americans are having a gentle dig at the fact that every time they give a foreign TV show a bit of Yankee polish, it falls flat on its face, but that doesn't make it funny. In fact the first episode was like having teeth pulled. There are some things the Americans do well, but comedy isn't one of them. Friends and Sienfeld to name but a few. There is nothing funny about Americans being rude to each other and everyone else. And the same is true of Episodes. I love the British cast but I find myself wanting to beat my own head in every time a member of the American opens their mouth. I'll give it one more chance but that's it. The limp plot just doesn't work. The cast try their best but the story doesn't work and I doubt there is anything to be done with it. Hopefully it will will a painless death.
