Have to be honest that I REALLY strongly disagree with the Lynette haters in the other reviews.
Tom is the one that needs to run? Tom is a whiny manbaby who never takes responsibility for his actions and in actuality is the one who domineers his wife and controls her life. She just wants some semblance of control. He has a midlife crisis every other episode and screws his family over. Be it by quitting his job and announcing that Lynette is going back to work, then not doing any housework, making her sleep on baby vomit; not wanting a job until Lynette is interested in it; throwing away their life savings into a pizza restaurant he decided he wanted out of nowhere; always pressuring her into sex; giving Lynette five kids when she only wanted one; the list goes on and on!
But its Lynette who "controls his entire life"?? Be for real. Lynette is the saint for putting up with Tom and all of his ridiculousness. She wants him to be successful and he resents her for not letting him be lazy.
