Not a Good Story, But the Stars Stole the Show
nightringer-7684029 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Story-wise, it's poor and a filler at best.

However, Joely Richardson is a joy to watch with her witty comebacks and facial synical facial reactions. I hope they'll bring her back. It'll be a fun ride with her joining the main storyline.

Patricia Richardson plays her innocent wife character well, but her evil act is okay.

Not Blacklist at its best but an improvement on last week
bosporan26 March 2022
Two entertaining plotlines - the escorts killing rich people chased by the FBI team and Red rekindling an old relationship and recovering a necklace. The Reddington strand benefits from James Spader's wit and delivery interacting with the women around him to make a compelling (if a little predictable) story. The law-enforcement crew struggle to hold attention without Spader in their midst and this becomes a rote procedural albeit with an interesting (though unoriginal) twist. The show is always stronger when Reddington is interwoven to both plot arcs as the show was originally conceived - hopefully this divergence will not become the new normal.

The technology is getting closer to reality
cpotato101026 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I remember reading a story back in the 70's or 80's about a company building sex robots. In that particular story, one of the engineers building the robots was a woman who had a former relationship with a customer, or something like that.

She added heavy-duty motors to the arms of the robot she was building for this customer, and it ended much as what you saw here.

Now the technology is slowly catching up to this fictional story.

For this episode it was a good detective story, on all three threads. Particularly good to see Patricia Richardson again. You can never have too much Patricia Richardson. Or Joely Richardson, for that matter.

There is one minor flaw - if the nurse cut off her pony-tail and sent it in for the wig used for the robot, the hair would have no roots to check for DNA.

Actually good, because....
ldargue28 June 2022
OK, yep. The A story is silly. It has a base in reality, but the extent of the implementation of the "products" is way too advanced.

HOWEVER - the B story is wonderful! Clever, subtle, and a fun twist. And Spader gets to play.

So it isn't great due to the primary silliness, but the 2nd plot is great fun!

good effort

A little bit of Black Mirror gives a bit of life to the plot ... good enough

but on the other hand, Cooper's not interesting at all ... it is a side line almost as annoying as the quest for the truth in the past. We do not really care about who is blackmailing old Harold, we wish him well and maybe a good retirement by the seaside.

De ja vu all over again

Warning: Spoilers
Or is it Raymond Reddington pays a visit to Stepford? Anyway an interesting episode even Data from Star Trek would enjoy. Not an original storyline for sure, but it sure beats digging up Elizabeth over and over again,

A Robot Escort
ZegMaarJus11 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This Episode begins with a escort girl, she choked Warren to death while having sex with him. Aram saved Billy Burton from dying. Gordon and Chrissy escaped just in time. Gordon drives himself and Chrissy from the hill, they commit suicide. Red gives the Myanmar jewel to Cassandra. Solid Episode of The Blacklist Season 9, it was an okay episode. But nothing special at all!

Does not compute

Warning: Spoilers
Forget "jumping the shark". This show just jumped a whale. Technology is MILES away from this. My suspension of disbelief is broken. We are over the hill at 9 seasons and finally heading for the canyon.

What show am I even watching?
dean-648393 April 2022
I'm at a loss for words at how far this once great show has fallen. In the last few seasons, I'd actually cringe at most scenes that didn't involve Red. Now it's all scenes. I don't even know what I am watching anymore.

Killer Robots??
supermodelyum4 April 2022
Ok, so this show seemed to be picking back up after we FINALLY ditched Elizabeth Keene. But this feels like an "April Fools" joke. Honestly, I can't even get my Roomba iRobot to reliably vacuum a room without bumping into everything and chewing up chords to lamps. How are we to believe that robots this realistic exist? Ridiculous!

Jumped the shark.
fede448826 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Robot prostitute? That was so dumb. These writers are running out of ideas. And there's another season coming? Put it out of its misery.

The Liz and Red relationship made this show, no matter what the Boone haters say. The case of the week stuff was background noise.

Whelp, knew this was coming.
uhtiman16 April 2022
Tedious, ridiculous and quite possibly the worst episode ever. The only exciting part was when Fonzie uses water ski's to jump that shark. Hopefully this they can recover the show but the signs are there. Change in writers combined with a central character leaving in the middle of the story line. All it needs now is for Redd's precocious blonde haired nephew to join the cast bringing jolly times and hijinks. Ugh.

Wow - ghost in the shell? Where is Motoko?
jxbrowning18 April 2022
Three different plot lines in this episode and only one that held my interest. Red's search for a necklace with two excellent guest stars was fun.

Henry Lennix seems trapped in the plotline that will not end. He deserves better writing. The rest of the team chase robots in a storyline that is very similar to an episode from the Ghost In the Shell cartoon. The cartoon was much better.

It has been a solid season so far, so one bumpy episode won't kill things. Hope the stories will get back on track.

Worst episode by far, but no details to be provided. I'd like to say it would be spoil it, but it is already rotten. Watch it and see for yourself. Definitely qualifies for a jumping the shark award.

No Such Thing
Hitchcoc16 December 2022
I have to use 600 characters to describe this mess. There are no robots this sophisticated. It took one lab several years to get one to climb three step. Another to dance a preprogrammed jig. Come on. These things are women with all the stuff to make them women and total coordination of their bodies. Add to that the nut case who is in the middle of killing guys who buy the damned things. A secondary plot is Reddington meeting an old adversary (female) at the funeral of a guy who wasn't such a good one, Barney. Back in the day, one of the world's largest rubies was snatched away from these two and they go to see the widow, who is wearing it. I hope things get back on track in the next offering.

a pretentious mess
talllwoood131 June 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Just a mess, there was too many stories going on at once. The bad guy in this episode looks too similar to another bad guy in a previous episode a middle aged white guy with a beard. Whoop dee doo. The ending of the episode for what happens to this blacklister was just lazy.

I feel they could have focused more on the bad guy, gave him a bit of a sad story and that may have worked a bit better. Yet instead it's like they ran out of money for this episodes budget and woosh! They found the man too quickly.

The story revolving Harold I would have saved for another episode as I swear there is 3 stories going on at once so it can be a bit difficult to follow (or care) about all 3. The visuals are the only thing as I was trying to decide whether or not they just got an actress to play a stiffer role than Donald in the show or it was some sort of CGI as the makeup department can make it work either way. I guess if Donald needs an agent to work with besides Helena this can work.

Patricia Richardson not listed?
bassfreqqjunk26 March 2022
Home Improvement actress Patricia Richardson is guest-starring in "Genuine Models Inc." as the character Matilda Davis. "Little is known about her character, but we know the Task Force is "is led to an unusual suspect when the wealthy clients of an apparent escort service start turning up dead." Is Davis the unusual suspect? It feels like there's a good chance of that. Anytime you've got a big name turning up on this show, you want to make sure that they've got some pretty meaty material backing them up.".

Great to good to woefull
bennobi18 March 2023
When I started to watch the black list, I found it to be smart, sophisticated and talent rich in both cast, production and writing but as the years and seasons have gone by I've been able to forgive the small indiscretions that have popped up now and then (like being able to see the wheel ramp of a car chase or major lack of continuity between cut screens ect) in favour of solid and engaging story lines and performance but thanks to this episode, it appears I can no longer count on those thing's either anymore.

C grade at best storytelling given the outlandish nature of the material will be ensuring that I don't order season 10 on DVD in future.

As far as I'm concerned, The Black List ended with Elizabeth Keen!

Thanks anyway 👍

This is just Sci-fi..
head19934 September 2023
The technology in the show was already hilarious, but these ****** are just sci-fi. A few episodes ago stomach acid ''partially corrupted'' a usb stick, before that they called a SD card an SD ''chip'', an email was sent by clicking on the title of the email. I could go on, but clearly someone on the writing team has no idea what a computer is, what popculture is, what the limits of technology are. Some things are hundreds maybe thousands of years off, most is just completely wrong. Early on in the show we had things like the undetectable tracker, something that makes a bit of sense unless you think too long about it. Now the show is going into full sci-fi. These are not spy gadgets, they're uncreative and lazy writing cheats.

It's not all bad, I have laughed at and enjoyed the little blunders the writers made through the years. I certainly never have written a TV show, so who am I to complain. Their work is at least very entertaining, but these ****** are not fun, not funny. It doesn't fit in the show, and it's ridiculous. This isn't Black Mirror, this show is supposed to be something my dad can watch.

Again, not a professional writer, I know it's a hard job and things go wrong. It's hard to take a step backwards to see the full picture when everything's moving so fast

The stars are hiding the word Robots btw. Trying to avoid big spoilers.
