Well...welcome to Steins;Gate!
ste_palom11 June 2019
From this episode, Steins;Gate status goes from great to legendary. Not saying that the first 11 episodes were bad, cause that is simple not true but I agree that for most people this is where the series truly begins. For those who just finished watching this episode and have come here in shock, well, I only have one more thing to say... enjoy the ride!

The Nightmare begins
peterfmodel18 September 2019
This episode represents the 2nd turning point. The change in tone, even though you have a feeling something is going to happen, is striking. Gone are the backstory and relationship development and we are thrust head first into a nightmarish world. The cliff hanger is shocking, to say the least. If you were thinking nothing was going to happen, that is over and after a few more episodes you start looking back with nostalgia to a time when everything was eventless peaches and cream. Of course the reason why the previous four episodes seemed to go no-where was it was setting you up for now, as well as leaving four critical clues which need to be solved for the stressed out steins gate team. I think that way the writer plays with the audience in this manner is excellent.

Steins;Gate and its endings
lhbaker-2878330 November 2021
Steins;Gate does truly have the best endings to each of its episodes that make you watch the next episode. But this episode is different. This is a cliffhanger. This doesn't make me watch the next episode, I'm forced to. This episodes ending was nothing like I was expecting and I see countless important parts in the ending for future episodes. Also the horror is still sprinkling here and there like last episode was. Best Steins;Gate SO FAR!!!!!!!

Game Changer

Just thinking about the last few minutes of this episode gives me goosebumps. From the beginning of the episode one may assume that Okabe might cause the end of the world with his time machine, but what actually happens is much less extreme, but somehow shocks you even more. Saying anymore will spoil the ending so I'll leave my review at that. Once you finish episode 12 you are finally ready for the thrill ride that is Steins;Gate.
